摘要: An annular dome assembly for a combustor. The annular dome assembly includes an annular dome including one or more dome panels defining the annular dome. A first dome panel includes a dome upstream surface and a dome downstream surface opposite the dome upstream surface. One or more dome arms extend from the dome upstream surface. One or more apertures extend from the dome upstream surface to the dome downstream surface. The annular dome assembly also includes a deflector assembly including one or more deflector panels defining the deflector assembly. A first deflector panel includes a deflector upstream surface and a deflector downstream surface opposite the deflector upstream surface. One or more deflector arms extend from the deflector upstream surface. Each of the one or more deflector arms are mounted within a respective aperture of the annular dome.

摘要: In one exemplary embodiment, a combustor liner includes a first portion extending in a substantially axial direction and a second portion that extending in the substantially axial direction. A step connects the first portion and the second portion. The step is arranged at an angle to the second portion that is less than 90°. The step has a step height defined as a distance between the first portion and the second portion. The first portion, second portion, and step are formed as a unitary ceramic component. A slot extends through the step, and a ratio of a height of the slot to a height of the step is greater than 0.66.

摘要: A method and a device provide a uniform recursive sequential combustion of fuel and oxidizing agents within a thermal system having a continuous flow. Compressed fresh air is directed through the combustion chamber along a primary flow direction. A proportion of the fresh air is supplied to a burner by way of a burner entry and in the burner is combusted with fuel and exits the burner as exhaust gas. The burner is disposed at an angle in relation to the primary flow direction such that part of the exhaust gas exiting the burner exit is imparted a tangential flow in relation to the primary flow direction and circulates in the combustion chamber and enters the burner entry of a downstream burner so as to be mixed with the fresh air flowing into the downstream burner such that a recursive sequential combustion is achieved.

摘要: A method for designing a combustion system which emits less of at least one environmentally-harmful emission is presented. In a describing step, an injector which introduces a fuel into a combustion chamber is described via a CFD code. In a modeling step, combustion kinetics of the fuel are modeled via a pre-processing code as the fuel mixes and reacts with an oxidizer. In a first selecting step, at least one primary scalar is derived during the modeling of the combustion kinetics. In a performing step, a table look-up is performed to obtain at least one data from a look-up database based on the primary scalar. In a second selecting step, at least one secondary scalar is selected in addition to the primary scalar(s). In a specifying step, at least one chemical pathway of formation or destruction for the secondary scalar is specified via a chemistry manager wherein the secondary scalar is representative of the environmentally-harmful emission(s) of the chemical pathway(s). In a utilizing step, the data is utilized to evaluate the chemical pathway(s) to quantify the environmentally-harmful emission(s). In an identifying step, an improvement to the combustion system is identified which reduces the environmentally-harmful emission(s).

摘要: A combustor for a gas turbine includes a combustor liner that has an outer liner and an inner liner. At least one of the outer liner and the inner liner includes (a) an upstream liner section fixedly connected in the combustor, (b) a downstream liner section fixedly connected in the combustor, and (c) a dilution liner section including a movable portion including at least a part of the dilution liner section and having at least one dilution opening therethrough. The movable portion is arranged to translate in an upstream direction and in a downstream direction. At least one actuator is connected to the movable portion of the dilution liner section and controls translational movement of the movable portion in the upstream direction and the downstream direction to adjust a volume of a primary combustion zone within the combustor.

摘要: An igniter for a combustor of a turbomachine includes a fuel inlet in fluid communication with a mixing plenum. The mixing plenum is positioned upstream of a mixing channel. An air inlet is in fluid communication with the mixing plenum and an ignition source is in operative communication with the mixing channel. The igniter may include a mounting flange configured for coupling the igniter to the combustor. The ignition source may be positioned proximate to a downstream end of the mixing channel and upstream of the mounting flange. The mixing channel may define a venturi shape. The venturi shape includes a converging section between an upstream end of the mixing channel and a venturi throat.

A sintered body is manufactured by carrying out debindering and sintering to the injection molded body.
