The apparatus includes: a first steering position controller configured to control a first MDPS module based on a first command steering angle from an autonomous driving system and a current steering angle; a second steering position controller configured to control a second MDPS module based on a second command steering angle from the autonomous driving system and the current steering angle; an internal communication interface configured to enable a communication between the first steering position controller and the second steering position controller; and a processor configured to calculate final output information including the current steering angle based on first information output from the first MDPS module and second information output from the second MDPS module, and to apply the final output information to the first steering position controller and the second steering position controller.

摘要: Methods, systems and a vehicle control system for a vehicle is provided. The vehicle control system includes an Electric Power Steering System (EPS), and a sensor system including a vehicle dynamics sensor configured to provide vehicle dynamics data and a temperature sensor configured to provide measured outside temperature. A processor is in operable communication with the EPS and the sensor system. The processor is configured to execute program instructions. The program instructions are configured to cause the processor to: execute an automated lateral control algorithm based on the vehicle dynamics data to generate a steering command, adapt the automated lateral control algorithm based on the measured outside temperature so that the steering command compensates for changing lateral response of the vehicle as a result of changing environmental temperature; and provide the steering command to the EPS, wherein the EPS is configured to laterally control the vehicle based on the steering command.

摘要: A vehicle power supply system includes a power source control device that executes a process of switching a connection state of a driving circuit to the main power source and an auxiliary power source including; a process of switching the connection state so as to transition to a backup state as a voltage decrease of the main power source occurs, and a process of switching the connection state so as to transition to a normal state as the voltage decrease of the main power source is resolved. After a voltage decrease of the main power source occurs, a turning-side control device of a steering control unit sets an output-limited state for a turning-side motor. The output-limited state is canceled upon the power source control device completing switching of the connection state so as to transition.

摘要: A pulley assembly for a steering assembly includes a motor disposed within a motor housing and having a motor shaft extending therefrom. The pulley assembly also includes a motor face plate having a motor pilot component extending therefrom in the same direction as the motor shaft extends away from the motor, the motor shaft extending through a hole in the motor face plate. 摘要: Model-based control of dynamical systems typically requires accurate domain-specific knowledge and specifications system components. Generally, steering actuator dynamics can be difficult to model due to, for example, an integrated power steering control module, proprietary black box controls, etc. Further, it is difficult to capture the complex interplay of non-linear interactions, such as power steering, tire forces, etc. with sufficient accuracy. To overcome this limitation, a recurring neural network can be employed to model the steering dynamics of an autonomous vehicle. The resulting model can be used to generate feedforward steering commands for embedded control. Such a neural network model can be automatically generated with less domain-specific knowledge, can predict steering dynamics more accurately, and perform comparably to a high-fidelity first principle model when used for controlling the steering system of a self-driving vehicle.
