In one example, a nose landing gear arrangement includes a wheel assembly and a main strut. The main strut is operatively coupled to the wheel assembly and is configured to extend outside of the fuselage substantially along a generally vertical plane. A folding follow-up door is pivotally coupled to the main strut and extends to the fuselage. The folding follow-up door includes a first door section and a second door section that extend outwardly in directions away from each other to define an unfolded position. The folding follow-up door is foldable to move the first and second door sections towards each other about the generally vertical plane to define a folded position.

A secure corset is applied in particular to the immobilization in the maximum opening position of an aircraft landing gear cage hatch. The corset has two half-shells that are able to enclose the piston of the actuator having an axis coincident with the common longitudinal axis of the half-shells once they are closed around the piston. Locking pins are able to hold the half-shells around the actuator. The corset also has a casing secured to at least one of the half-shells and equipped with a hooking unit that is able to be coupled to a fixed point on the structure. A structure for varying the distance between the casing and the hooking unit are able to move the hooking unit away from or towards the corset along the common longitudinal axis of the half-shells.

A door flap comprises the trailing edge and is hinged to the landing gear door. A leading edge section comprises the leading edge and is coupled to the door flap. A wheel pants structure is provided for aircraft having landing gear including wheel and axle means which are supported in a substantially fixed position relative to the aircraft fuselage. The pants structure is in the form of a housing defined by fixed wall means having an opening therein adapted to be closed by a pair of pivotal door elements. The housing means including the fixed wall means and the door elements is adapted to completely enclose the wheel when the door elements are in the closed positions thereof. When the door means are moved to the open positions thereof, a portion of the wheel means is exposed for engagement with an underlying support surface for the aircraft. The door means may be moved between the open and closed positions thereof mechanically, electrically, hydraulically or pneumatically and may be actuated either manually from within the aircraft cabin or automatically.
