摘要： Apparatus for feeding bulk material, such as, for example, chips, shavings, or the like, into a spiral pump or press, comprises a supply funnel, a feed line, and a rotatably driven conveying and compacting means. The latter comprises a vertically oriented axial shaft which comprises a helicoid portion within the vicinity of the supply funnel, and a helical thread portion within the vicinity of the feed line. The helicoid portion is spaced from the inner peripheral surface of the supply funnel by means of a predetermined spacing, and the inner peripheral surface of the supply funnel is provided with a plurality of pins equiangularly disposed about the inner periphery or circumferential extent of the supply funnel. The pins are arranged within a horizontal plane, and may be disposed within multiple horizontal planes. The pins may also have different lengths depending upon the particular bulk material being fed, conveyed, and compacted, and the helicoid portion of the axial shaft is provided with recesses defined within peripheral portions thereof for accommodating the pins of the supply funnel so as to permit the axial shaft, and the helicoid portion thereof, to rotate so as to feed, convey, and compact the bulk material.

摘要： A vibrating hopper and auger feed assembly including an infeed auger which transfers product from a main storage bin to a live bottom hopper, the live bottom hopper having a vibrating bottom pan and discharge spout, an inverted pressure cone which is centrally vented to the exterior of the hopper, and a central vertical feed auger which extends through the inverted pressure cone and the discharge spout. A transverse cross auger transfers product from the live bottom hopper to a bottom fill auger assembly for filling bags carried on a bag elevator. Each of four augers in the assembly sequentially compresses and deaerates the product, the backpressure being vented to the exterior of the assembly, to achieve a very uniform product density within the fill tube and dispensing spout. The operation of the infeed auger may be controlled by the level of product within the live bottom hopper, and the bottom fill auger revolution rate may similarly be interlocked with other functions of the assembly, particularly the raising and lowering of the bag elevator. Conventional bag hanging and handling devices may be utilized, or the assembly may be customized to a particular application.

摘要： An inlet device comprises an inlet chute, an inlet hopper pan and two agitator blades in counter rotation above the flights of a plug screw feeder. The blades are housed in a pan which sealingly connects to a cast plug screw liner which is a U-shaped trough for the plug screw. The agitator blades are driven by shafts supported in pillow block bearings fastened to a main housing. The main housing holds a gear train driven by a right angle gearmotor. The gearmotor is also mounted on the main housing and drives abutting geats in counter rotation above the flights of the plug screw. A storage bin, reservoir, worm conveyor or some type of pulsating feeding arrangement feeds directly into the instant inlet device. The inlet device then feeds into line operations, e.g., a pulp refiner line operation.

摘要： A material feeding device for storing and feeding material and especially granulated material such as sawdust, wood chips, nut shells, or corn cobs at a controlled rate. The device includes a hopper which is preferably tapered toward its outlet end and a drive assembly which revolves a radial rotor arm carrying a rotating agitator toward the material at a controlled rate for loosening of the material. The rotatable agitator has outward projections and extends through the hopper. Such revolution and rotation of the agitator prepares the material by release by loosening and moving the material in the hopper upwardly allowing it to fall freely downwardly under gravity through the hopper outlet. If desired, the direction of rotation of the agitator may be reversed to force the material downwardly. Revolution and rotation of the agitator may also be controlled with an adjustable brake assembly. The agitator may be heated to loosen it if the material to be fed is frozen.

摘要： A device for disentangling and spreading short steel fibers used for the reinforcement or crack prevention of concrete or mortar employed for civil engineering works, building constructions or the like. The device comprises a hopper for storing short steel fibers which has a bottom opening which is connected to a nozzle. A horizontal disc rotated by a motor is mounted at the intersection of the bottom of the hopper and the nozzle with the plane of the disc parallel with the general orientation of the nozzle, the disc being formed with a plurality of plate shaped members ranged radially on its upper surface forming an impeller. Projecting from the upper surface of the disc on the axis thereof is a central boss having a plurality of vanes radially mounted thereon in such a manner that they are alternately at different heights. The boss also has pendulum-like agitating arms pivotally mounted at the top thereof.

The members support flexible elongate elements which have a length no greater than the distance between the outer edges of the radial members and the walls of the silo.Rotation of the shaft causes the material to be fluidized and to pass down and out the silo without preventing simultaneous filling of the silo. The outlet from the silo is at its bottom end and discharge is achieved by helical elements which may be driven by the same motor as the rotary shaft.

摘要： Apparatus for discharging granular material from a bulk container tapering at its bottom, including a conveyor and a discharge chamber at the bottom of the bulk container. The discharge chamber includes an impeller rotated by a vertical shaft extending through the bottom of the chamber, and a traveler shaft connected at one end to the vertical shaft, by a coil spring knuckle-joint, and carrying at its other end a contactor which rides on the inner surface of the tapering bottom, the shaft being provided with projecting cross pins to move in the material and break up agglomerations and bridges. Power means are provided for driving the vertical shaft and the conveyor, either separately or serially, and the opening between the chamber and the conveyor is adjustable to vary the flow of material. The conveyor comprises a plurality of flights secured to an endless cable, which moves for at least a part of its travel through a tube leading from the discharge chamber to an area of discharge for the material.
