摘要： Rotational inerters are described herein that can provide torque applications in response to a rotation component. The inerter can include a first shaft having a first longitudinal axis and a second shaft having a second longitudinal axis. A first gear can be connected with the first shaft and a second gear can be connected with the second shaft. The first and second gears can be in meshing engagement with one another. In some arrangements, the first gear can be a worm gear and the second gear can be a worm. A flywheel can be connected with the second shaft. Rotation of the first shaft can cause the second shaft to rotate. Arrangements described herein can cause a torque to be applied at the first shaft that is proportional to a rate of change of the angular velocity of the first shaft about the first longitudinal axis.

摘要： Device for opening cabinet door of cabinet body. Cabinet door is attached to cabinet body by self-closing hinges. Cabinet door is held in closed position at a small distance from the front of cabinet body. In order to allow cabinet door to be opened without gripping elements, without hindering the self-closing of the hinges, there is a unit having ejection piston with a locking apparatus and tension rod in cabinet body. Ejection piston is supported in the unit by compression spring, and tension rod is supported in the unit by tension spring. Ejection piston and tension rod are coupled to each other by a control apparatus having a freewheel, and thus by tapping on cabinet door the opening of cabinet door can be initiated and cabinet door can be brought into an intermediate position. In the intermediate position, cabinet door can be grasped by a hand and opened further.

The foot tread element is connected rotatably to an articulated element and rotatably connected to the forcibly-guided moving element in such a manner that, upon actuation by a foot, the foot tread element both executes a movement downwards and is also moved as a whole at least partially outwards.

摘要： A pet door system for allowing pets to enter and exit a building is provided. The pet door system comprises a pet door having a top edge, a pair of side edges, and a bottom edge with the pet door pivotally mounted within the opening. An aperture is formed in the top edge only of the pet door. A groove extends from along each side of the aperture. A plunger is moveable into and out of the aperture with the plunger riding in the groove. A solenoid moves the plunger into and out of the aperture with an activation mechanism activating the solenoid. Upon the activation mechanism being positioned within a predetermined distance from the pet door, the solenoid causes the plunger to automatically unlock the pet door. Upon the activation means being positioned outside the predetermined distance from the pet door, the solenoid causing the plunger to automatically lock the pet door.

摘要： A vertically collapsible weather resistant barrier for an opening, having a plurality of side frames secured along the height of side walls and/or an intermediate post defining the opening. Each side frame has a longitudinal channel along its length facing inward toward the opening. The channel accommodates sheaves extending from the barrier and by which a ceiling mounted pulley system may house and lower the barrier with the side frame. The barrier comprises a plurality of pantograph structures at opposite ends of a plurality of panels. The arms of the pantograph structure closest to the side walls house a locking mechanism thereon facing the side frame at either end of the arm that engages a latch in and a proximate arm to pull them into tight vertical alignment when substantially fully extended. The locking mechanisms are covered by an expandable bulb seal that bulges outwardly when the locking mechanism is engaged to create a seal between the pantograph and the channel in the side wall.
