Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to a suspension-based impact test system for testing impact of a testing object against an impacting object. The impact test system includes components to couple the testing object to a suspension arm through a coupling member, and the suspension arm interfaces a motion-guiding mechanism. The impact test system generally includes a detachment mechanism for releasing the testing object from the suspension arm when initiated by a release system. The testing object releases from the constraints such that the testing object can move freely just prior to contacting the impacting object.
Abstract:
A system for detecting Poly-Bag and Poly Wrap on mail pieces, intended to be a sub-assembly on a mail unit open system that automatically opens wrapped bundles of either letter or flat mail. The system generally includes two orthogonally-opposed but otherwise identical Poly Bag Detectors both controlled by a programmable controller and deploying a swinging pendulum test, plus a Poly Wrap detector employing a rolling friction wheel test.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a safety test apparatus of a battery cell. The safety test apparatus of the battery cell comprises: a jig on which the battery cell is disposed on a top surface thereof; and an impact member comprising an impact rod supported on the top surface of the battery cell and a striking weight disposed above the jig to freely drop toward the jig and strike the impact rod so that an impact is applied to the battery cell, wherein the striking weight is provided in a pair and comprises left and right striking parts that respectivley strike two striking points, which are spaced apart from each other, of the impact rod and a connection part connecting the left and right striking parts to each other.
Abstract:
A connector, an associated dynamic testing system and method for testing rock bolts or rock anchors in situ. The connector is attached to a rock bolt/anchor and supports a hanging load via a shaft. The connector has a body of two halves retaining upper first and lower second connectors having respective curved surfaces. Each of the two halves has a curved inner surface allowing limited relative rotational movement of the first and second connectors relative to the two halves when a load is applied. A load cell and accelerometer register the load applied to the rock bolt/anchor through the connector and any resulting movement of the rock bolt/anchor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a machine for testing cushioning material for packaging, which improves the test method and performs a more precise characterization of cushioning for packaging. The machine is formed by: a load arm (1); a lift motor (2) on the upper part thereof; several guides that connect (i) a rigid platform (6) for positioning the sample to be tested, replaceable by a load cell (6′), and (ii) an impact platform comprising sensors (7) for monitoring the position thereof and measuring acceleration during impact; a spindle (4) for moving the load arm; and, on the lower part thereof, a seismic mass (5) for reducing the transmission of the impact.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to an apparatus, system and methods for determining the impact attenuation or hardness of a surface for a playground or sports field in order to mitigate or reduce sports and playground related injuries.

Abstract:
A drop test apparatus includes a frame, a first blocking board, a second blocking board, two first pivot poles and two second pivot poles. The frame includes a base board and a holding board above the base board for holding a tested product. The first blocking board is located between the base board and the holding board for placing the tested product when the tested product is dropped from the holding board. The second blocking board is secured to the base board. The two first pivot holes and the second two pivot poles are connected the first blocking board with the second blocking board, and a distance between the first blocking board and the second support is adjusted.
Abstract:
Test method for structures, e.g., such as carriers and/or catalysts. The methods may be used to select the carriers and/or catalysts for future use. Carriers and catalysts so selected, and processes making use of these, are also provided.
