    摘要: A display sheet having polymer dispersed liquid crystals, includes a substrate and a state changing layer disposed over the substrate and defining first and second surfaces, such state changing layer having the polymer dispersed liquid crystals having first and second optical states, which can change state. The display sheet further includes first and second conductors disposed respectively over first and second surfaces of the state changing layer so that when a field is applied between the first and second conductors, the liquid crystals change state; and a nonconductive, field spreading layer having polymer dispersed sub-micron particles disposed between the state changing layer and the first conductor to provide a change of state in the state changing layer outside of areas between both conductors in response to a field applied between the first and second conductors which changes the state of the liquid crystals.

A first housing part or housing front has an opening exposing the display surface of the LCD panel. A second housing part or housing rear is complementary to the first housing part. The housing front has at least one horizontal retainer arranged to retain at least one of the components at a desired position within a hypothetical horizontal plane parallel to the display surface of the LCD panel, and a vertical retainer arranged to retain the components together. The housing rear has a load applying portion arranged to load the vertical retainer into firm engagement with the adjacent one of the components when the housing rear and the housing front are coupled to each other.

    摘要: A foldable pedestal is mounted to a LCD panel of a LCD monitor. The foldable pedestal comprises a support base on which a rotation limiter is slidably mounted. A rotary plate, including a connecting area where the LCD panel is fixedly attached, is pivotally mounted to the support base over the rotation limiter. Blocking elements are fastened to the rotary plate. When the rotation limiter is in a first position, the rotary plate is in an unfolding position, and is prevented from substantial rotation due to an abutment of the blocking element against the rotation limiter. When the rotation limiter slidably moves to a second position, a clearance is created to allow the passage of the blocking elements so that the rotary plate is allowed to rotate to a folding position.

The optical film is formed by laminating integrally a brightness enhancement film (A) that separates natural light into transmitted light and reflected light and a collimating film (B) having an uneven portion on a surface thereof. Since an air interface is eliminated by the integral lamination of the brightness enhancement film and the collimating film, stray light is reduced, and the brightness enhancement film has an improved efficiency in reflecting and polarizing light; thereby, enhancing the brightness.

    摘要: A color display device based on dielectrophoresis is described. The device includes a dielectrophoretic mixture comprising semi-insulating particles of each of the subtractive primary colors cyan (32), magenta (34) and yellow (36) in a semi-insulating liquid (24). The dielectrophoretic frequency characteristics of the particles are the same or similar for particles of the same color but different between the three colors. In particular, the transition frequency (f0) is different for each color, or two colors may have the same transition frequency (f0) if one has a reversed sense dielectrophoretic frequency characteristic. Also the speeds of the particles are the same for particles of the same color but different between the three colors. The pixels are driven with alternating voltages of different frequencies (f1, f2, f3, f4) and duration determined such that different proportions of the different colors of particles are moved, dependent upon their transition frequencies and speeds. A reflective, saturated full color display device may thereby be provided.
