    摘要: The electrolyte of a solid tantalum capacitor consists of manganese dioxide which is coated with an outer layer of graphite over which there is deposited a metal containing counterelectrode. Buried within the manganese dioxide is at least one layer of graphite and the intervening manganese dioxide between adjacent layers of graphite contains graphite particles that electrically connect the adjacent graphite layers. The capacitor may be subjected to temperatures up to 360.degree. C for several minutes without substantial degradation of the characteristic series impedance, even where the capacitor package contains organic materials.

    摘要: A Solid State Electrolytic Cell Gas Sensor is presented which is capable of measuring various toxic or combustible gases in low concentrations (0-5 PPM) up to and including high concentrations such as 0-20 percent by volume. The sensor exhibits excellent specificity to the gas designated to be detected. The sensor causes the dissociation of the gases into charged species such as ions and complex ions and does not operate by changing its electro-conductivity in response to the adsorption of the gas. The sensor has an electrical signal which is a function of the type and concentration of gas and which is also a function of the collection of ions by transport process. The solid state material from which the sensor is fabricated is produced by the method of addition of one or more metal oxides to a non-metal oxide with a general formula of MxOy - NpOq. M can be a metal from the transition elements and N can be a non-metal of group III and IV from the periodic table. The sensor comprises a collector and a heater element made from a stable metal such as platinum. A material such as stannic oxide may be mixed with a material such as silica gel. The combination may be heated and dried and dissolved in an alcohol and water solution. The resulting combination is then coupled to the heater wire and to the collector wire and heated to form the finished sensor.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to an electrical component with low impedance over a range of high frequency input signals. The electrical component comprises a body including a metal anode with a plurality of anode risers contacting the anode, each of the anode risers extend from the anode a relatively short distance with a minimum of spacing therebetween. Anode and cathode levels extend from the body a relatively short distance in spaced substantially parallel relationship with each other. Preferably, the lengths of the anode and the cathode leads are a minimum as well as is the distance between each of the leads in order to further help reduce the impedance of the electrical component over a range of high frequency input signals. An example of an electrical component body is a solid tantalum capacitor comprising an anode of a dielectric oxide film-forming metal with a myriad of intercommunication voids, a dielectric oxide film of the metal contacting surfaces of the anode, and an electrolyte material contacting the dielectric oxide film.
