    摘要: A housing structure of a connector having a plurality of parallel terminal channels formed on two lateral sides and separated from each other by ribs. A central portion of the housing is recessed to form a hollow section. The periphery of the hollow section is formed with a spacing section for separating the hollow section from the respective terminal channels and ribs. At least one central rib is longitudinally formed in the hollow section. Two sides of the central rib are formed with multiple laterally extending reinforcing ribs opposite to each other. The reinforcing ribs connect the central rib with the spacing section. An end section of each reinforcing rib connecting with the spacing section is tapered to form a narrowed section.

    摘要: A terminal socket assembly including a T-shaped sealed connector for interconnecting electrically powered vehicular components with a male input pin and output cable. A spring cage is formed into a substantially helix “hourglass shape” configuration. A tubular sleeve receives the configured spring cage in axially inserting fashion and includes first and second extending bracket portions which are biased towards each other to create a compressing and interference fit with the inserted spring cage. The assembled sleeve and spring cage is receives and engaging and inserting portion of the male pin. Gripping portions extend from a selected bracket portion and fixedly engage an extending end of a cable to electrically communicate the two cables. A sealed connector housing forms a part of and encases the terminal socket assembly and extending connector cables and includes assembleable male and female housing portions and end seals.

A series of resilient contacts extend away from the base from the inner border to form a socket. The contacts have opposed surfaces which are spaced apart from each other and positioned to define the socket. The contacts have tips that extend in an outwardly direction relative to the opening to allow easy insertion into and removal of a male terminal from the socket. A securement portion on the base allows a conductor to be secured to the connector terminal.

    摘要: A socket for use in testing packaged integrated circuits having leads depending therefrom includes a first member for receiving the integrated package and having a plurality of first holes for receiving leads extending from the package. A second member has a plurality of wires for engaging the leads, each wire being anchored at ends to the second member with an intermediate portion engaging a lead. Each intermediate portion is aligned with a first hole and capable of being flexed out of alignment with the first hole for insertion of an integrated circuit package into the socket. The first member includes a second plurality of holes aligned with the wires of the second member, and an actuator has a plurality of pins arranged to extend into the second plurality of holes for engaging the plurality of wires and flexing the intermediate portions of the wires out of alignment with the first plurality of holes.

    摘要: A socket (10) has a cover (14) pivotably mounted to a base (12). The base is formed with a seat (12a) for mounting a semiconductor device on a contact mounting plate (18). A locking mechanism (20) for locking the cover in the closed position includes an over center linkage mechanism interacting with a locking pin (20a). In a modified embodiment, the locking mechanism is provided with a pivotable locking member (27) to provide either manual or automated operation. The cover (14) of socket (10) also comprises an integrally formed heat sink. In another embodiment (10′), a separate heat sink (30) is independently mounted on the cover (28) provided with an aperture through the cover in which the heat sink is slidably mounted.

    摘要: An electric contact plug receives a tip jack input at a plug-in zone, and completes the electrical connection via a connection zone to an electronic component, such as a printed circuit board. The electric contact plug also includes an intermediate zone, connected between the plug-in zone and the connection zone. The intermediate zone is designed to deform mechanically when the plug-in zone is subjected to vibrational stresses, as typically occur in a motor vehicle. As a result, the tip jack is held securely within the plug-in zone, while the intermediate zone absorbs the effects of the vibrational stresses. Thus, the inventive electric contact plug avoids the problems of friction and corrosion within the plug-in zone. Moreover, this electric contact plug is compatible with thick-wire bonding, and can be manufactured economically.

    摘要: A connector is electrically connected to a substrate in which a conductor pattern and electrodes at ends of the conductor pattern are provided on a surface of the substrate. The connector includes a plurality of contacts that are resiliently connectable to the electrodes of the substrate inserted in the connector. An insulator member contains the contacts arrayed therein. A slider unit is movably attached to the insulator member, the slider unit including a plurality of lugs that are connectable to respective edges of the contacts contained in the insulator member. The connector is configured such that the respective edges of the contacts are connected to the lugs of the slider unit before the slider unit is moved relative to the insulator member, so as to separate the contacts from the electrodes of the substrate, and the respective edges of the contacts are disconnected from the lugs after the slider unit is moved relative to the insulator member, so that the contacts are resiliently connected to the electrodes of the substrate.
