摘要: A server prepares a charging plan for a travel route to a destination. The server obtains an outside air temperature and a battery temperature. The server reads a map from a storage, and calculates an amount of required heat required for increasing the battery temperature to a target temperature by collating the outside air temperature and the battery temperature with the map. The server prepares the charging plan such that an SOC of a battery at the time of arrival at the destination attains to a prescribed SOC and a sum of an amount of heat generation by charging of the battery at a charging point and an amount of heat generation by charging and discharging of the battery with travel of a vehicle is equal to the amount of required heat.

摘要: In an example, a smart battery backup system is disclosed. The system is configured to be installed on or within a vehicle and connected to a main battery of the vehicle. The system includes a housing, a lithium-ion battery disposed at least partially within the housing, and a controller disposed at least partially within the housing and including a set of momentary switches. The controller is configured to jump start the main battery using the lithium-ion battery. The controller is also configured to maintain the lithium-ion battery such that, based on a charge state of the lithium-ion battery and a charge state of the main battery, the lithium-ion battery is charged using the main battery.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling optimization of a charging amount of a battery for a vehicle charged with external power includes: a map storage, a position detector, and a controller to control the map storage and the position detector. The controller acquires a current position of the vehicle when a driver's desired charging setting value is input, acquires altitude information of topography corresponding to a driving path, calculates a gain charging amount in an uphill or downhill section on the driving path based on the altitude information, calculates an optimum charging setting value based on the driver's desired charging setting value and the gain charging amount, calculates a final target charging amount based on the optimum charging setting value and a current residual charging amount, and performs optimum charging of the battery.

摘要: A vehicle charging system includes a vehicle propelled by an electric machine powered by a chargeable energy storage system. The charging system also includes a controller programmed to predict at least one upcoming plug-in event based on historical charging data, and define a plug-in routine based on a plurality of upcoming plug-in events. The controller is also programmed to set a charging schedule to coincide with the plug-in routine such that a target state of charge (SOC) is achieved at a conclusion of each of the plurality of upcoming plug-in events. Each target SOC corresponding to a plug-in event is based on minimizing a charging energy cost of the plug-in routine and an expected energy depletion ahead of a next subsequent plug-in event.

摘要: A system for charging electric vehicles is disclosed, comprising: vehicle chargers coupled to an electric power grid; and a controller in communication with the chargers and vehicles and configured to execute software to cause the controller to: determine characteristics of each vehicle, the characteristics including a charge capacity of a battery system of each vehicle and a mission schedule; determine characteristics of each charger, the characteristics including a type of each charger and a charging capacity; process the characteristics of each vehicle and each charger to identify charging opportunities for each vehicle over the course of a time period; and perform a peak power optimization analysis to generate a vehicle charging profile configured to activate a minimum number of chargers simultaneously and to minimize downtimes of the plurality of chargers to thereby distribute the power demand from the electric power grid and result in an initial peak power demand.

The energy storage circuit is structured to receive a state of charge (SOC) and a state of health (SOH) of an energy storage device. The input circuit is structured to receive an indication of a torque demand. The hybrid management circuit is structured to determine a first torque output for a genset including an engine and a first motor-generator based on the torque demand and the SOC of the energy storage device; determine an adjustment factor based on the SOH of the energy storage device; determine an adjusted torque output for the genset based on the adjustment factor and the first torque output; operate the genset to provide the adjusted torque output and to generate an amount of energy; and operate a second motor-generator at a second torque output to meet the torque demand.
