    摘要: A blockout apparatus for preserving a through passage in a structural member formed thereabout is provided. The blockout apparatus comprises a tubular body portion having first and second ends defining mouth openings and an intermediate section extending therebetween to define a longitudinal through passage. The tubular body portion includes a gasket flange formed at least partially about each of the first and second end mouth openings to project transversely outward therefrom. A hardware mounting portion is integrated with the tubular body portion, which hardware mounting portion defines an engagement base disposed in open communication with the through passage. The engagement base is structurally augmented relative to the tubular body portion to retentively engage preselected mounting hardware for weight bearing support of an implement therefrom.

    摘要: A system for retaining a flowable and curable building material to form a portion of a foundation includes side walls disposed in a predetermined configuration having a first side wall and a second side wall, and at least one component having an interior cavity disposed in one of the side walls. A bracket assembly includes at least one inwardly bounding reinforcement post and at least one outwardly bounding reinforcement post, a separator bar having a plurality of apertures sized to receive and retain each of the reinforcement posts at locations corresponding to nominal widths of the at least one component. A barrier is disposed between the outwardly bounding and inwardly bounding posts. The component in the side wall is retained in the foundation after the building material cures. The barrier prevents backfill from filling a volume between the outwardly bounding and inwardly bounding posts.

    摘要: A method of forming an insulated concrete foundation is provided comprising constructing a foundation frame, the frame comprising an insulating form having an opening, inserting a pocket former into the opening; placing concrete inside the foundation frame; and removing the pocket former after the placed concrete has set, wherein the concrete forms a pocket in the placed concrete that is accessible through the opening. The method may further comprise sealing the opening by placing a sealing plug or sealing material in the opening. A system for forming an insulated concrete foundation is provided comprising a plurality of interconnected insulating forms, the insulating forms having a rigid outer member protecting and encasing an insulating material, and at least one gripping lip extending outwardly from the outer member to provide a pest barrier. At least one insulating form has an opening into which a removable pocket former is inserted. The system may also provide a tension anchor positioned in the pocket former and a tendon connected to the tension anchor.

    摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for preventing the intrusion of poured concrete into the space defined by a window buck installed between concrete forms. The apparatus, system, and method include a window buck panel incorporating a concrete exclusion barrier comprising a protrusion formed on the body of the window buck panel; a flange affixed to an attachment leg of the window buck panel; or an appropriately shaped leg of a window buck panel. The concrete retention barrier is configured to contact a concrete form under pressure and remain in contact as the form alters shape from the weight of infused concrete. By preventing fluid concrete from entering a defined window cavity during formation of a concrete wall the apparatus, system, and method described eliminate the need to remove hardened concrete from the interior of the cavity before window installation. Use of certain embodiments of the described invention saves time and effort in preparing the window cavity for window installation and also preserves the cleanliness and precise configuration of the window installation surface.

    摘要: A foundation vent (20) for use with concrete forms (31 ) includes two frames that telescope together into a plurality of locking positions to allow the width of the vent to be changed to match the thickness of the concrete wall. The first frame (26) includes first walls (34) and a first flange (40). The first frame has a first inner end (36), and a first outer end (38). The first flange is disposed around a perimeter of the first outer end. The second frame (28) includes second walls (60) and a second flange (70). The second frame has a second inner end (66), and a second outer end (68). The second flange is disposed around a perimeter of the second outer end. A ridge (74) engages in channels (52, 58) defined by a plurality of shoulders (50, 54) disposed on the frames to allow the two frames to telescope together and to lock at various, predetermined widths. The ridge is disposed around a perimeter of the second inner end of the second frame. The ridge thus engages one of the channels. The foundation vent is used by locking the frames together to form the desired width, securing the vent between the concrete forms in a desired location, pouring the concrete between the forms around at least a portion of the vent. After the concrete cures, the forms are removed, tearing away breakaway portions on the flanges, leaving the foundation vent mounted in the concrete foundation.

    摘要: A construction method for one-step grout fixed window frames on external walls of a concrete-structured building includes the following steps. A window frame including vertical and horizontal sections is fixed with vertical lining boards to the inner side of its vertical sections to form a window frame assembly, and is then supported on an upper supporting board which has been securely attached to a concrete template of an external wall of the building. Template sealing strips are separately attached to an exterior edge and an interior edge of the vertical sections and the upper horizontal section of the window frame assembly, so that a complete moulding cavity is formed. Into this moulding cavity the grouting concrete is grouted and the window frame is inlaid in the concrete after the concrete is set and the concrete templates are removed. With this one-step grout fixed window frame construction method, the periphery of window frames is given good waterproof ability and beautiful appearance, and the construction cost and term are both reduced.
