摘要: A manufacture configured to and process for inhibiting, from wear, a lock in a latching system comprising: a gland surrounding an actuator translating the lock through: a first fixed lock receptor and a moveable lock receptor. The manufacture and process include: inhibiting a skewing, of a lock central axis of the lock with the lock translating through the first opening and the opening in the moveable lock receptor, away from substantially aligning with: a first central axis of a first opening of the first fixed lock receptor, and an actuator central axis of the actuator, via fitting a first translation guide into the first fixed lock receptor. Also included is inhibiting: wear of a gland around an actuator in the lock while translating, and leaking, past the gland, of an actuator fluid within the lock; and skewing of an actuator central axis of the actuator.

摘要: Adjustable headrest including a guide configured to be coupled to a seat; a head support coupled to the guide and configured to be movable along an adjustment path relative to the seat; and a slider having a surface defining a recess receiving the guide. A retainer is positioned to urge a surface of the slider against a surface of the guide, thereby maintaining friction between the surface of the slider and the surface of the guide. Additionally, the adjustable headrest includes a bracket that is fixable relative to the head support or fixed relative to the seat. The bracket has a mounting section positioned for fixation relative to the head support or for fixation to the seat and a guide receiving portion receiving the guide. The slider and the bracket are separate components and are formed from the same material or different materials.

摘要: A friction hinge with its motion restricted in one pivoting direction includes a support member, a restricting module, and a pivot member. The restricting module is mounted on the support member. The restricting module has an air flow opening. The pivot member is pivotable relative to the support member and the restricting module. A regulating chamber is defined between the pivot member and the restricting module. When the pivot member is pivoted in one direction, a pressure in the regulating chamber is increased and the restricting module is actuated to reduce size of the air flow opening, increasing the resistance to pivoting of the pivot member in this pivoting direction.

摘要: An adjustable headrest 300 includes a guide 360 configured to be coupled to a seat, a head support 302 coupled to the guide and configured to be movable along an adjustment path relative to the seat, and a slider 370 having a surface defining a recess 373 receiving the guide such that the surface of the slider contacts a surface of the guide. The adjustment headrest further includes a retainer 390 positioned to urge the surface of the slider against the surface of the guide, thereby maintaining friction between the surface of the slider and the surface of the guide and resisting unintended movement of the slider with respect to the guide along the adjustment path. Also, a friction module and a friction hinge are provided, which can be incorporated into an adjustable headrest or other assemblies in which sliding and/or hinged components are desired.

An object, such as a hand held electronic computing device, may be secured between the base plate and the distal ends of the engagement arms. The spring force may be provided by the clamp plate itself (e.g., a spring steel clamp plate) or by a separate spring (e.g., one or more helical springs, leaf springs, or a spring steel plate) disposed between the clamp plate and the base plate.

摘要: A locking assembly for a ramp of a lift gate, the locking assembly including: an elongated adjustable locking arm pivotably disposed on a pivot point relative to the ramp, the locking arm including an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a length of the locking arm disposed on a proximal end for engaging a cam portion, where the length of the locking arm can be increased or decreased by adjusting the adjustment mechanism; and a resilient member for spring loading the locking arm, where a biasing tension in the resilient member urges the proximal end of the locking arm to pivotably engage with the cam portion to maintain the ramp in a selected position; and at least one fastener for coupling the locking assembly to a first surface of the ramp.
