摘要: An image sensor module includes a light source unit that emits a linear light beam elongate in a primary scanning direction to an object to be read, and a lens unit including an incidence surface and an output surface oriented opposite to each other. The lens unit is configured to receive light from the object through the incidence surface and output the light through the output surface. The module also includes a sensor IC that receives the light outputted from the output surface, a housing that holds the light source unit and the lens unit, and a support member that supports the lens unit such that the incidence surface is located more distant from the sensor IC than the output surface in a secondary scanning direction. The support member includes a reflection surface that reflects the light from the object toward the incidence surface.

摘要: A scanning focal plane sensor and method are described for image capturing of object space (or scenes). In one example, a focal plane sensor for a scanning imaging system is provided. The focal plane sensor for a scanning imaging system includes M×N Time Delay Integration (TDI) imaging Charge Coupled Device (CCD), where M is a number of TDI columns and N is a number of TDI stages per each column. A detector is connected to each TDI stage. The focal plane sensor includes an imaging controller configured to mechanize sampling the brightness value of each sensor pixel's initial footprint in object space and select a number of charge integrating TDI stages for substantially equalizing the inter sensor pixels' signal to noise ratios.

摘要: An oscillating mirror module as a deflecting unit is disposed so that a movable mirror faces a plane where image carriers are arranged. A plurality of light source units are disposed within a plane parallel to the plane where the image carriers are arranged so that main light fluxes of light beams emitted from the light sources form predetermined angles with each other. The oscillating mirror module includes an incidence mirror that bends a plurality of light beams emitted from the light source units to direct the light beams to the movable mirror, and a separation mirror that separates the light beams scanned by the movable mirror into two opposite directions with respect to a cross-section including a surface normal of the movable mirror and perpendicular to the rotation axis of the movable mirror. A light collecting unit collects light beams so that output optical axes of the light beams corresponding to the light source units intersect on a surface of the movable mirror of the deflecting unit.

摘要: A method and apparatus for transferring an image of predetermined length onto a substrate by selective energization of a row of printing elements in a printhead of a printing apparatus. The printing apparatus may be arranged with a print ribbon located between the printhead and the substrate such that ink is selectively transferred from the ribbon to the substrate as a result of energizations of the printing elements. The image to be printed is rendered in memory as a series of rows of pixels and the apparatus is set up to download the rendered rows of pixels to the printhead successively. The relative positioning of successively printed rows of pixels on the substrate is determined by relative displacement between the printhead and the substrate. The apparatus is set up to control the positioning of the rows of pixels by controlling the delay between successive energizations of the printing elements. Operational characteristics of the printing apparatus are determined, and the image is rendered such that the number of rows of the pixels in the rendered image is no greater than the maximum number of rows of pixels which can be printed in the length of the image given the operational characteristics of the printing apparatus. Additional rows of pixels may be printed between pairs of rows of printed which correspond to consecutive rows in the rendered image. The pixel content of each additional row is a function of the pixel content of the adjacent pairs of rows.
