    Abstract: This invention is characterized in being provided with: a determining unit for determining the execution of a state transition from a pressure increase mode in which an electric pump is operated with a differential valve being in a closed state and a holding valve being in an open state to a pressure decrease mode in which the electric pump is operated with the holding valve being in a closed state and the differential valve being in an open state; and a control unit for controlling, when the determining unit determines the execution of the state transition, one or more of the differential valve, the holding valve, a pressure reduction valve, and the electric pump, and reducing the amount of a braking fluid retained in a path between the differential valve and the holding valve.

    Abstract: This hydraulic braking device is provided with: a tubular cylinder; an assisting piston, which is housed in the cylinder so as to be able to move reciprocally, faces a reservoir formed inside the cylinder, and assists a master piston, in a master cylinder, that generates hydraulic pressure for generating a braking force by reciprocally moving from one side to the other as a result of a fluid flowing into the reservoir from a supply source; and a seal member, which is elastically deformable and which seals the reservoir. When the assisting piston is at a location on one side, the reservoir is compartmentalized into a first chamber that communicates with the supply source, and a second chamber that communicates with the first chamber through a restricting flow passage, and the seal member seals the second chamber.

    Abstract: A hydraulic braking system includes: a master cylinder including a pressurizing piston, a rearward chamber, and a pressure chamber; and a rearward-hydraulic-pressure controller connected to the rearward chamber and including a pressure increase valve and a regulator for controlling a hydraulic pressure in an output chamber. An air detector includes: an upstream detector, including the rearward-hydraulic-pressure controller, for detecting presence or absence of air in an upstream portion based on a relationship between the hydraulic pressure in the output chamber and an open time of the pressure increase valve; and a downstream detector for detecting presence or absence of air in a downstream portion based on a relationship between a stroke of the pressurizing piston and the hydraulic pressure in the output chamber. A calculation unit calculates an operation amount of the drive and braking devices based on the request value in accordance with the determined mode.

    Abstract: A movable diaphragm of a negative pressure type booster device includes an annular rubber diaphragm and an annular metal plate.     Abstract: The hydraulic pressure control device has an idle region, and is provided with a control portion, and a correcting portion which, in cases when the reaction time of the actual pressure to pressure increasing control or pressure decreasing control exceeds a predetermined threshold time, corrects a control current towards the side in which the flow-rate is increased. In cases when a judging portion has judged that the pressure increasing control is in the idle area, the correcting portion applies, as the threshold time, an idle threshold time set to a value different from the threshold time that in cases when the judging portion has not judged that the pressure increasing control is in the idle area. Furthermore, in cases when the reaction time of the actual pressure to the pressure increasing control exceeds the idle threshold time, the correcting portion corrects the control current.
