    Abstract: A control valve includes: a second inner circumferential portion capable of holding a first spring, in a first communication passage provided at a first discharge opening of a housing; and a recessed portion recessed in a radial direction, at a position that is a part of a region in a circumferential direction of the second circumferential portion and overlaps a second communication passage opening in a biasing direction of the first spring. Therefore, when inserting the first spring into the first communication passage, it is possible to hold the first spring with the inner circumferential surface of the second inner circumferential portion. Consequently, the first spring is appropriately mounted in the second circumferential portion, thereby preventing a mounting defect of the first spring.

    Abstract: A hydraulic damper includes: a cylinder extending from one side to the other side and containing liquid; a rod configured to move relative to the cylinder; a first piston configured to move relative to the cylinder inside the cylinder along with relative movement of the rod and generate damping force; a first elastic member inside the cylinder and configured to be displaced along with relative movement of the rod; a second elastic member separate from the first elastic member inside the cylinder and configured to be displaced along with relative movement of the rod; and a second piston separate from the first piston and configured to move relative to the cylinder inside the cylinder, to be always supported by the first and second elastic members so as to be movable inside the cylinder, and to generate damping force that varies according to displacement of the first and second elastic members.

    Abstract: A propeller shaft includes an outer ring member having a bottom section through which a vent hole is formed, on a first end part connected to a shaft member. The propeller shaft further includes an inner ring member provided to the inner peripheral side of a second end part of the outer ring member on the side axially opposite to the first end part and connected to a rod member; a ball member between the inner and outer ring members, which is lubricated by grease; a plate member attached to the inner peripheral part of the outer ring member and forming an auxiliary chamber with the bottom section; and a communication path. The communication path allows communication between the first end part side and the second end part side of the outer ring member with the plate member interposed therebetween.

    Abstract: The vehicle control device of the present invention acquires characteristics of a road condition in front of a traveling vehicle based on external information; acquires vehicle behavior control variables for controlling the behavior of the vehicle based on estimated state variables of the vehicle that are obtained based on the characteristics, and control variables concerning speed of the vehicle based on the external information; acquires trajectory tracking control variables for causing the vehicle to track the target trajectory based on the target trajectory on which the vehicle travels that are obtained based on the characteristics and the estimated state variables; and outputs the control commands for controlling the suspension device, steering device, and braking and driving device based on the vehicle behavior control variables and the trajectory tracking control variables. This improves travel stability of the vehicle on a road surface on which an irregularity such as ruts exists.

    Abstract: A caulking pin (15) is inserted into a mounting hole (21) provided in a metal case body (3), and the end portion of the caulking pin (15) is thermally caulked with a welding tip (24) to form a mold forming portion (17). A surplus absorption recess (31) is formed by enlarging the opening end of the mounting hole (21), and surplus resin is absorbed. The surplus absorption recess (31) is positioned inside a region of the mold forming portion (17). Therefore, the amount of molten surplus resin that protrudes outward from the welding tip (24) in the thermal caulking process is reduced.

    Abstract: To suppress a failure of ignition of a fuel caused by a spark plug while suppressing wear of an electrode of the spark plug in an internal combustion engine. A control device 1 for an internal combustion engine includes an ignition control unit that controls energization of an ignition coil 300 that applies electric energy to a spark plug 200 that discharges in a cylinder 150 of an internal combustion engine 100 to ignite a fuel. The ignition control unit continuously transmits a first pulse signal (pulse signal for corona discharge) to an igniter connected to the ignition coil 300 before dielectric breakdown between electrodes of the spark plug 200, and continuously transmits a second pulse signal (pulse signal for arc discharge) to the igniter after the dielectric breakdown between the electrodes of the spark plug 200 to control the energization of the ignition coil 300. At this time, a period of the pulse signal for corona discharge is shorter than a period of the pulse signal for arc discharge.
