Abstract: A processing system including at least one processor may capture data from a sensor comprising a microphone of a wearable device, the data comprising external audio data captured via the microphone, determine first audio data a first audio source in the external audio data, apply the first audio data to a situational detection model, and detect a first situation via the first situational detection model. The processing system may then modify, in response to detecting the first situation via the first situational detection model, the external audio data via a change to the first audio data in the external audio data to generate a modified audio data, in accordance with at least a first audio adjustment corresponding to the first situational detection model, where the modifying comprises increasing or decreasing a volume of the first audio data, and present the modified audio data via an earphone of the wearable device.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system obtains encoded video content, and transmits the encoded video content over a network for presentation at a communication device by a video player executing on the communication device. The encoded video content is decoded in a decoding process by a decoder of an operating system of the communication device to generate decoded video content; the decoded video content is analyzed by a complexity analyzer of the operating system to generate a video complexity report. The method also includes receiving the video complexity report over the network from the communication device, and adjusting a data rate for the encoded video content, based at least in part on the video complexity report, to generate adjusted video content for transmission to the communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Quantum key distribution network security survivability can be provided by receiving, at a software defined networking controller operating in a control layer of a network, a recommendation from a global analytics service operating in an application layer of the network, the recommendation for replacing a failed communication link in a quantum key distribution layer of the network, the failed communication link being detected by a quantum edge computing device operating in the quantum key distribution layer. The software defined networking controller can generate a command to cause a quantum key distribution resource to perform an action to mitigate impact from the failed communication link. The command can be sent to the quantum key distribution resource and the quantum key distribution resource can perform the action to mitigate the impact from the failed communication link.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a machine-readable storage medium, including executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations that include assuming control of a video content transfer between a video server and a video client for HTTP traffic responsive to determining the HTTP traffic is for video content, generating a video transfer rate selection and a video transfer resolution selection for a requested video chunk of a time slot of the video content, generating an optimized manifest file for the requested video chunk, and publishing the optimized manifest file to the video client, wherein the video client request the requested video chunk from the video server based on the optimized manifest. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards techniques to measure interaction latency. Interaction latency can be measured at a client device by measuring time intervals between user inputs and corresponding feedback, such as video frames responsive to the user inputs. Feedback can comprise communication bursts received at the client device. The communication bursts can be detected and correlated with user inputs in order to measure interaction latency. Feedback can also comprise video response features which are responsive to the user inputs. Received video frames can be analyzed to discover response features, and video frames including the response features can be correlated with user inputs in order to measure interaction latency.
