    摘要: An anti-friction bearing assembly including coaxial inner and outer bearing race members, a plurality of cylindrical roller bearing elements between the inner and outer bearing race members, and a snap-in bearing cage for appropriately spacing the bearing elements apart. The bearing cage includes a pair of identically constructed, axially spaced apart bearing cage members each including an annular body portion, a plurality of axially extending and circumferentially spaced apart webs defining therebetween a plurality of bearing element receiving pockets, and a plurality of tab members each extending radially from one of the webs. The tab members are radially flexible to permit insertion of the corresponding cage member into the bearing assembly and thereafter snap back to an unflexed position to retain the corresponding bearing cage in the bearing assembly.

    摘要: A seal cartridge assembly is provided for providing a seal between a non-rotatable housing or casing member and a rotatable shaft and includes a housing comprised of overlapping annular case members. Each case member includes an outer peripheral wall portion and an annular flange portion extending radially inwardly from the outer peripheral wall portion. The two case members are press fitted together in overlapping relationship and held together by a bonded rubber belt to provide a U-shaped cartridge housing which is press fit and sealed to an inner bore of the non-rotatable housing. An annular sealing member is positioned within the cartridge housing and is adapted to be engageable with the shaft and rotate with the shaft within the U-shaped cartridge housing. The annular sealing member includes lip extensions extending outwardly therefrom which engage the annular flange sidewalls of the cartridge housing to provide a seal between the annular sealing member and the cartridge housing.

    摘要: The conveyor chain assembly is made of multiple rows of pivotally connected link modules. Each module has spaced link ends which project between the link ends of the module in the adjacent row. The joint between modules in a row is straddled or bridged by a module in the adjacent row to give a bricked lay-up. Each of the modules on the left side of the conveyor has a solid link end so the pivot rod abuts the inside of the link end. The other end of the pivot rod lies just inside of a spring plug mounted in the arm or link end on the right side module. The modules cannot be end-for-ended and assembled. They must be assembled correctly. Certain link ends are wider than the others to require proper assembly to the modules in the adjacent row and to distribute drive loads over a greater area. Both sides of the conveyor are essentially flush or smooth.

    摘要: A capacitor-start capacitor-run single phase AC induction motor control starting circuit is provided which minimizes first cycle current spiking magnitude, and also minimizes cycle to cycle current spiking magnitude, without a choke or inductor in the loop containing the run capacitor, start capacitor and start switch. The first cycle current spiking problem is solved by controlling when the start switch may be turned on at initiation of the starting mode in relation to the AC cycle, to permit turn-on of the start switch only within a known or predictable range of voltage differential between the run and start capacitors. The cycle to cycle current spiking problem is solved by proper phasing of gate current, and supplying gate current to the start switch in phase with the voltage across the run capacitor and out of phase with the current through the series connected start switch and start capacitor.

    摘要: An article carrying chain includes a plurality of interconnected molded plastic chain link assemblies each having a planar top plate. The chain link assemblies are interconnected so as to permit articulation between adjacent links around orthogonal axes. The potential for wear or breakage between adjacent links is reduced by beveling at least one of the mating edges between the top plates of adjacent links. Product kick-up is avoided by rounding the upper surface of each top plate along its leading and trailing edges. The underside of each link assembly is shaped so as to be engageable by either side of a sprocket tooth to thereby permit the sprocket to drive the chain in either of two directions. A plurality of upper and lower tabs formed along the lower portions of the chain link assemblies function to stabilize the chain relative to a pair of glide rails while permitting free removal of the chain link assemblies from the guide rails.

    摘要: A bearing take-up apparatus is provided which allows easy removal of a bearing block supported by the bearing take up apparatus. Two slotted end walls extend from a base to support the threaded rod used with the bearing block and to prevent lateral movement of the rod. A covering piece has holes in one of its ends, which line up with a hole in an end wall. A throughbolt secures the covering piece to at least one of the slotted endwalls via holes in the endwalls, so that the throughbolt forms a hinge for the cover piece, when the other end of the covering piece is released. The threaded rod can be lifted and the bearing removed, when the cover piece is hinged upwards, about the throughbolt. The cover piece includes components to hold the threaded rod down when the cover piece is secured at both of its ends.
