    摘要: A vehicle light assembly including one or more movable light signature members that are selectively translated from a first position partially or wholly in front of conventional light units (low beams, high beams, taillights, etc.) to a second position away from the light units when the light units are in use. Thus, for example, the movable light signature member(s) can include one or more LEDs or the like that are illuminated to act as daytime running lights, turn signal indicators, accessory lights, etc. when they are disposed in front of the light units and when the low beams, high beams, or taillights are not in use. This provides the desired light signature. When the low beams, high beams, or taillights are in use, the movable light signature member(s) are translated out of the way, such that the light units are visible adjacent to and/or between the movable light signature member(s).

    摘要: A housing for enabling coupling of light from a light source to an optical light guide. The housing allows for the optical light guide to rotate about its axis with respect to the housing and a light source while at the same time maintaining the optical coupling with the light source. Accordingly, it is desirable to couple light from a light source to an optical light guide, where the optical light guide is freely rotatable about its axis. This is obtained by a locking mechanism of the housing where the light source is arrangeable. The locking mechanism includes a circumferential structure adapted to receive at least one radial locking member of the optical light guide. The circumferential structure is configured such that the optical light guide is rotatable about its axis in the locking mechanism while maintaining a spatial relationship between the end portion of the optical light guide and the light source.

    摘要: A subframe assembly for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the same is disclosed. The subframe assembly includes a crossmember, a straight arm, and a side bracket. The crossmember includes an end bracket disposed at an end thereof. The straight arm is received into and metallurgically bonded to the end bracket of the crossmember. The side bracket includes a base, and a rear bracket arm. The base is metallurgically bonded to a side of the straight arm adjacent to the end of the crossmember. The rear bracket arm extends from an end of the base and defines a hole adapted to receive a screw or pin for connecting a control arm of a wheel suspension to the subframe assembly. The rear bracket arm is at least partially received into and metallurgically bonded to the end bracket of the crossmember.
