    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to filtration media packs, filter elements, and methods for manufacturing filtration media packs and filter elements. The present disclosure is directed to filtration media packs having alternating first media sheet and second media sheet secured together and forming a first flow face and a second flow face, wherein the first media sheet and the second media sheet provide a first separation or gap therebetween as a result of the presence of a first plurality of protrusions or bosses extending from at least one of the first media sheet or the second media sheet, and a second separation or gap therebetween as a result of a second plurality of protrusions or bosses extending from at least one of the first media sheet or the second media sheet, and the media pack being closed to passage of unfiltered fluid therethrough from the first flow face to the second flow face or from the second flow face to the first flow face without filtering passage through the first media sheet or the second media sheet.

    Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.

    Abstract: An air cleaner assembly includes a precleaner assembly. In one aspect, the precleaner assembly incudes a bypass arrangement that is operated to bypass a portion of air around the precleaner assembly. The bypass arrangement can be operated by a controller based on at least one input signal corresponding to one or more of a vehicle speed, a vehicle engine speed, a vehicle engine load, an operator input, a vehicle location, an air pressure drop across a filter element, an air pressure drop across the precleaner assembly, an acoustic level, a vibration level, a change or cleaning frequency of the filter element, a total number of filter element changes, an identity of the filter element, an identity of the engine, an identity of the vehicle, an air flow rate through the precleaner assembly or through the filter element, and a weather condition parameter identified through data received locally or from a weather service.

    Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to filter media having a downstream layer of filter material and an upstream layer of fibers. The downstream layer of filter material has a capture efficiency of at least 10% and the upstream layer of fibers has a mean fiber diameter of at least 10 microns and a solidity of less than 10%. A spacing structure defines a mean void distance between the upstream layer of fibers and the downstream layer of filter material.
