The apparatus also features an object information interface unit which transmits a message containing the basic content information provided by the central control unit to an object-in-content information managing device, receives a message containing object-in-content information corresponding to the basic content information from the object-in-content information managing device, and transmits the object-in-content information contained in the received message to the central control unit.

摘要： Provided are a method and apparatus for managing resources of a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) device based on a connection status of a control point. The method of managing resources of a controlled device includes: monitoring an invocation of an action representing a connection of a control point for a predetermined time; determining whether the control point is connected to the controlled device or not by considering whether the monitored action is invoked or not; and increasing available resources by selectively deactivating an application which is controlled by the control point according to the determination result. Accordingly, the resources of the UPnP device can be effectively managed.

摘要： A method of effectively managing information shared by synchronizing between a plurality of Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) devices is provided. According to the method, all devices exchange version information of the devices at initial synchronization, and when shared information stored in some of the devices is changed, a device changing shared information transmits new version information to the other devices via an event message, so that all of the devices can maintain the latest shared information. Also, by having a counter indicating an update state of respective parts of shared information, when shared information is changed by a plurality of the UPnP devices, it is easy to recognize which part from among the respective parts of the shared information is the latest.

摘要： A network device having a message receiving module for receiving notify messages transmitted from controlled devices connected in a network, a device list management module for collecting information regarding the controlled devices connected in the network and creating and managing a list of service information of all the controlled devices connected in the network, and a control module for searching for service information of a specific controlled device, which has been requested by a control point, in the device list management module and transmitting the searched information. Since a controlled device has a list of other controlled devices connected thereto in a network, when a message searching for a specific controlled device has been received from a control point, another controlled device can transmit a response message to the control point on behalf of the specific controlled device even though the specific controlled device cannot receive the message from the control point.

摘要： Provided are a method and apparatus for managing a station by providing an encrypted key to the station in a wireless network under a Wi-Fi Protected Pre-Shared Key (WPA-PSK) environment. In the method, a registrar determines whether a new station is a guest station, based on user input. If the new station is a guest station, the registrar includes a session key (and not a shared key) into an M8 message according to a Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) Simple Config protocol and transmits the M8 message to the station. Accordingly, it is possible to permit a guest station to temporarily access the network without a user's management of information regarding the guest station.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for allowing UPnP devices to exchange power mode information with one another in a unified home network. The method of relaying a message in a unified network including at least first and second networks, the method includes receiving information regarding a power mode of a communication device connected to the first network from the communication device, generating a message indicating the power mode of the communication device based on the received information, and transmitting the message to the second network so that communication devices connected to the second network recognize the power mode of the communication device connected to the first network. Accordingly, even if a UPnP device in the power save mode cannot receive or transmit messages, another UPnP device can determine whether the UPnP device is connected to a network. If a new UPnP device generates an IP address according to an automatic IP mechanism, it is possible to prevent IP collision caused by a UPnP device that is connected to an IP network but operating in the power save mode.
