Abstract:
A coin transporting and stacking mechanism transports coins between two endless belts which form a coin transporting channel. The coins are gripped on diametrically opposed edges by the counter-rotating belts, and securely held as they travel towards the coin ejecting end of the channel. The coin ejecting end moves vertically to stack ejected coins one on top of the other to form a coin stack suitable for automtic wrapping. The mechanism is capable of transporting and stacking coins in a relatively small space due the movable, flexible transporting channel. Moreover, the mechanism requires fewer parts than conventional coin transporting and stacking systems to enhance reliability.
Abstract:
A device is provided for adjusting wrapping rollers of a coin wrapping machine so that a coin stacks of different denominations can be wrapped. The device automatically adjusts the wrapping rollers to any one of a large number of possible positions, and, therefore, allows the coin wrapping machine to wrap virtually any type of coin stack.

A coin sorter apparatus is provided for sorting coins by denomination using coin thickness as the discriminating parameter. The apparatus comprises a rotating disk located proximate a stationary disk. The rotational movement of coins on the rotating disk carries them into the region between the two proximate disks. Wherein a first selected are of ridges and recesses on the stationary disk surface manipulates the radial position of at least one denomination of the coins to a predetermined radial position using thickness as the discriminating parameter. A second selected area of ridges and recesses of the stationary disk receives the rotating coins carried on the rotating disk after the foregoing radial manipulation by the first selected area and radially releases rotating coins located at the predetermined radial position, thus allowing the coins to exit the region between the two disks at a particular location along the periphery of the stationary disk. Accordingly, all the coins of the one denomination whose radial position was manipulated to the predetermined radial position will be exited from the two proximate disks at the same particular location, thereby successfully sorting that coin denomination from the mixed denomination collection. Each denomination of coin having a distinguishing thickness can be similarly manipulated to distinct predetermined radial positions so that a plurality of denominations can be sorted by the stationary and rotating disk.

A gaming system includes a first display configured to display the random outcome of the wagering game, and a second display disposed to overlay at least a portion of the first display. The second display includes a transmissive liquid crystal display defining a transmissive window behind which a corresponding portion of the first display is positioned. The liquid crystal display further includes a polarizing film having a plurality of patterned features generally aligned with the transmissive window. The polarizing film is at least partially removed in the area of the patterned features to enhance transmissivity of the liquid crystal display.

A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In embodiments, the operations can determine different objects and/or portions within a wagering game video image and split the wagering game video image into multiple video streams containing different parts of the wagering game video image. The operations can then present the multiple video streams on multiple displays. The multiple displays can show the different parts of the wagering game video image appearing as separate and distinct video images. In some embodiments, some of the multiple displays can be placed in front of other displays. The operations can generate transparent masks that allow images to be seen through a display.
