摘要： Mattresses are packaged by successively rolling two compressed mattresses into a roll in which a rolling wrapper forms a spiral when viewed from an end of the roll. The bottom surface of a first mattress is placed on the wrapper such that the wrapper wraps around a first end of the mattress. The first end is then inserted between the bars of a mechanical roller. The first end is bent over onto the top surface of the mattress, and the mattress is rolled. The bottom surface of a second mattress is placed on the wrapper, and the first mattress is further rolled until successive portions of the bottom surface of the first mattress become adjacent to successive portions of the top surface of the second mattress. The wrapper is cut, and a first location near the cut edge is taped to a second location one revolution earlier on the wrapper.

摘要： A process for overwrapping a catamenial device such as a tampon includes the steps of providing a substantially cylindrical overwrapper material, inserting a catamenial device into the overwrap material, and closing the open end of the overwrapper material. The overwrapper material has an open end, a closed end, and a first length. The catamenial device has a tapered insertion end, a longitudinal axis, and a length less than the first length, such that the open end of the overwrapper material extends beyond the insertion end of the inserted catamenial device. Concave clamping jaws are applied to the open end of the overwrapper material to urge it toward the longitudinal axis of the catamenial device; to conform portions of the overwrapper material to the insertion end of the catamenial device; and to fold overwrapper material between adjacent clamping jaws to form fins extending outwardly from the conformed portions.

摘要： A coin stacker for stacking coins to be wrapped includes a pair of stacking blocks each being movable relative to the other perpendicular to a vertical plane including the center line of a coin sorting passage for passing coins of a predetermined denomination therethrough. The first stacking block includes a first inner wall section lying at an angle X to the direction in which the coin sorting passage extends and a second inner wall section lying at an angle -X to the vertical plane including the center line of the coin sorting passage. The second inner wall section is higher than the first inner wall section in the direction in which the coins are stacked. The second stacking block includes a first inner wall section and a second inner wall section. The first inner wall section thereof and the first inner wall section of the first stacking block are formed symmetrically with respect to the center line of the coin sorting passage, and the second inner wall section thereof and the second inner wall section of the first stacking block are formed symmetrically with respect to the center line of the coin sorting passage. The second inner wall section thereof is higher than the first inner wall section thereof in the direction in which the coins are stacked.

The thus constituted coin wrapping apparatus can be made compact and can wrap a predetermined number of coins in a desired manner with a mechanism of simple structure.
