    摘要： An article protecting cable has polygonal inner clamps applied to contiguous portions of the cable inwardly of the looped end portions, said clamps being of a metal sufficiently malleable to permit swaging operations to form detents which project inwardly from all sides of the clamps to bite into and secure the cable extents which pass through the clamps. Covering the inner clamps and secured thereto are similarly shaped polygonal sheaths of a metal relatively harder than that of the clamps to resist cutting or deformation by a thief.

    摘要： To provide a metallic protector for substantially enveloping the major exposed portion of a retracted and locked padlock shackle an eccentrically shaped guard is affixed to the end portion of the padlock body in covering relation to the normally exposed portion of the shackle. The outer end of the guard is slotted so that when the shackle is unlocked and reciprocated outwardly for staple eye engaging or releasing purposes, it will freely move outwardly through the slotted end of the guard while the guard remains immovably affixed to the padlock body.

    摘要： The present key holder simulates a padlock and is characterized by a double-ended shackle on which a case is mounted intermediate the ends of the shackle for relative reciprocal movements, with one side leg of the shackle being split. Each end of the shackle projects beyond its respective end of the case. The shackle ends are adjustable relative thereto to expose the leg split for one or the other shackle ends for respective key loading thereof. A certain reciprocal movement of the shackle relative to the case will locate and secure the leg split within the case to confine keys, of several classes if desired, on the shackle ends which were so loaded.

Connected to the sections of the enclosure to permit relative opening and closing movements of the latter in a rectilineal path is the shackle of a padlock which may be locked or released to respectively hold the sections in their closed protecting condition, wherein access to the steering-ignition lock is precluded, or in their open, separated position for authorized key access to said steering-ignition lock or complete removal of the auxiliary lock assemblage therefrom.
