摘要: Upon outputting halftone image data to an output device, density transformation is prevalently done to improve image quality. Density transformation corresponds to linear gamma correction, and cannot correct any color fog and the like of a photo image. Hence, lightness/color difference information of halftone image data is acquired on the basis of low-frequency components of frequency data obtained by transforming halftone image data into spatial frequency components, and a lightness/color difference transform amount of the halftone image data is set on the basis of the acquired lightness/color difference information.

摘要: A joint type minnow having a body which is formed so as to imitate a bait fish and divided into a main body portion and a tail portion so that the main body portion and the tail portion are mutually swingably joined to each other through a latch structure, is further equipped with a structure for regulating the mutual swing motion between the main body portion and the tail portion. The structure regulates the swing motion of the tail portion at a casting time to reduce air resistance, thereby avoiding reduction in flight distance of the lure.

摘要: A plurality of scan electrodes and data electrodes, and a self-emission layer disposed between the two electrodes are provided, wherein a scan voltage is supplied sequentially to the scan electrodes, and data voltage that corresponds to the display signal data is supplied to the data electrodes. The emission layer of the portions at the intersection between the two electrodes defines pixels in two-dimensional arrangement. A single frame period is divided into a plurality of sub-fields, and the weight of emission luminance is set so that gradation is expressed by a combination of emission luminance in the sub-fields. The scan voltage has a waveform that corresponds to the weight in each sub-field, and the data electrodes are selectively put into on state by the data voltage in accordance with the display signal data. An emission luminance that corresponds to the weight is obtained with a voltage applied to the emission layer of each pixel between the scan electrodes and the data electrodes.

摘要: An object of this invention is to prevent an increase in energy applied to a heating element and prolong the service life of a printhead even when the temperature of the printing element having a negative temperature coefficient rises and the resistance of the heating element decreases upon controlling a switching element for controlling a current flowing through the heating element so as to make energy as constant as possible. For this purpose, a printhead having a plurality of heating elements connected to a common power supply comprises: a switching element which is series-connected to the heating element and controls driving of the heating element at a voltage applied to a control terminal; a constant voltage source using a common power supply as a reference; a wiring resistance generated at a connection wiring line serial-connected to the heating element; and a voltage control circuit which controls to make the potential difference between both ends of the wiring resistance equal to the voltage of the constant voltage source when driving the heating element. Then, a current flowing through the heating element is made constant without any influence of the temperature of the heating element.

摘要: A wavelength tunable light source includes an optical pulse generating section for generating an optical pulse; an amplitude control section for controlling the amplitude of the optical pulse generated by the optical pulse generating section by superimposing control light on the optical pulse to output a short optical pulse; and an optical frequency converting section for converting the frequency of the short optical pulse by launching the short optical pulse output from the amplitude control section into an optical nonlinear medium whose refractive index varies in response to the electric-field intensity of the incident light. The amplitude control section can be configured such that it carries out the time division multiplexing and outputs the short optical pulse, thereby constituting an optical pulse light source.

摘要: When a plurality of sheets of images are laid out and outputted in one page and characteristic amounts of multivalued image data are obtained to perform preferable image correction, the characteristic amounts of all the images to be recorded in the corresponding page have been beforehand obtained to calculate preferable image correction parameters. Therefore, a waiting time until the start of actual printing has been long. To resolve such an inconvenience, an image processing apparatus of the present invention includes a correction amount deciding unit for deciding or determining an individual correction amount with respect to each of the plurality of image data, and a correcting unit for correcting the image data based on the individual correction amount, whereby the correcting unit respectively corrects the images in accordance with the correction amounts which have already been decided, in a state where the correction amount deciding unit has not completed the decision of the correction amounts for all of the image data.
