Abstract:
A computer program product and computer system for implementing a method of compiler optimisation of source code during compilation of the source code in a computer environment. The compiler optimisation of source code includes: recasting two algebraic expressions into a form of one or more token pairs arranged sequentially in a string, each token pair including an operator followed by an operand; reducing the strings in accordance with a set of predetermined simplifying rules; and comparing the reduced strings by matching to detect an equivalence of the two algebraic expressions.
Abstract:
A system and method for implementing an interactive session between a display equipment and a handheld electronic device is provided. The system comprises a display screen operable to display data/information, a telecommunication network coupled with local area network and world wide web, a smart-IB box capable of sending and receiving data/information, a system server capable of interpreting received messages from Smart-IB and user's handheld communication device, a handheld communication device. The method comprises the steps of detecting a request by a handheld communication device, initiating a user preferred schedule for pushing data/information in response to the request, determining the installation of enabling means to access various options available through enhanced enabling means, receiving and processing the request so made, sorting the request for scheduled data/information, relaying and displaying the scheduled data/information in accordance with preferred schedule.
Abstract:
A RF receiver that comprises: (i) a complex mixer for converting a version of the RF signal to a complex baseband signal comprising an in-phase component and a quadrature component; (ii) one or more analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) connected to the complex mixer for digitizing the in-phase component and the quadrature component of the complex baseband signal; and (iii) a digital signal processor (DSP) connected the one or more ADCs. The DSP is programmed to mitigate interference in the complex baseband signal by a process that comprises the steps of: (i) performing at least one cross correlation operation involving L-length segments of the digitized in-phase and quadrature components of the complex baseband signal; and (ii) concatenating the cross-correlated L-length segments of the digitized in-phase and quadrature components of the complex baseband signal to produce digitized interference mitigated in-phase and quadrature components of the complex baseband signal.

Abstract:
A video layer effects processing system which receives normal video and special effects information on separate layers has been presented. The system selectively mixes various video layers to transmit a composite video signal for a video display such as a television, or a virtual reality system. Special effects include spotlights, zooming, etc. Additional special effects such as shaping of objects and ghost effects are created by masking and superimposing selected video layers. The selective mixing, for example, to enable or disable, strengthen or weaken, or otherwise arrange special effects, can be directed from a remote source or locally by a user through real-time control or prior setup. The video layer effects processing system can also be incorporated into a set-top-box or a local consumer box.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method (200) is described for determining the equivalence of two sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations. Each of said equations is of a form: ei1x1+ei2x2+ei3x3+ . . . +eiixn=bi wherein xj are unknowns, eij are coefficients and bi are quantities, and defining the relationship between the unknowns within the set. The coefficients and quantities are known algebraic expressions. The unknowns are iteratively eliminated (250 to 280) from each of the sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations until each of said equations are in the form: (lii)kxi=(ri)k wherein lii and ri are algebraic expressions, and k={1;2} indicate one of said sets that said equation is derived from. The products (lii)1*(ri)2 and (lii)2*(ri)1 are compared (300) for each of the unknowns. Only if the products match (310) for all the unknowns are the two sets of simultaneous linear algebraic equations equivalent (312). An apparatus (100) for performing the above method (200) is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of certain dialkyl fumarates for the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations for use in transplantation medicine or for the therapy of autoimmune diseases and said compositions in the form of micro-tablets or pellets. For this purpose, the dialkyl fumarates may also be used in combination with conventional preparations used in transplantation medicine and immunosuppressive agents, especially cyclosporines.
