Abstract: Image compression circuitry comprises first-stage compression circuitry, first-stage selector circuitry, second-stage compression circuitry, and second-stage selector circuitry. The first-stage compression circuitry is configured to sequentially receive a plurality of input blocks each comprising pixel data of a plurality of pixels, generate a plurality of first-stage compressed blocks by compressing the plurality of input blocks, and generate a plurality of first-stage decompressed blocks. The first-stage selector circuitry is configured to select first-stage-selected decompressed blocks from among the plurality of first-stage decompressed blocks and select first-stage-selected compressed blocks corresponding to the first-stage-selected decompressed blocks from among the plurality of first-stage compressed blocks. The second-stage compression circuitry is configured to generate a plurality of second-stage compressed blocks by compressing the plurality of input blocks and generate a plurality of second-stage decompressed blocks. The second-stage selector circuitry is configured to select second-stage-selected compressed and output the second-stage-selected compressed blocks.

Abstract: A setting to be applied at a docking station is obtained, either from a memory of the docking station, or from another device connected to a network by first obtaining, from a user device connected to the docking station, an identity of the user device and/or an identity of a user of the user device. Based on the identity of the user and/or the user device, a configuration set, of a plurality of configuration sets, that identifies at least one setting to be applied at the docking station is obtained and a setting to apply at the docking station is determined based at least partly on the configuration set. The docking station may store a set of docking station specific settings which can be used in conjunction with the setting(s) determined from the configuration set.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of global coarse baseline correction (GCBC) for capacitive scanning. An input device may include a number (N) of sensor electrodes, a GCBC circuit, and detection circuitry. Each sensor electrode is associated with a respective channel. The GCBC circuit produces sensing signals in each of the N channels and the detection circuitry may detect changes in the capacitances of one or more sensor electrodes based on the sensing signals. In some implementations, the GCBC circuit may include a current source which outputs a first current, a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) which converts the first current to a sensing voltage, and a number (N) of resistors that can be coupled between the output of the TIA and the N sensor electrodes, respectively. The coupling of each resistor between the TIA and a respective sensor electrode produces a sensing signal in the channel associated with the sensor electrode.

Abstract: A method of detecting shift of a rotatable interface is disclosed. The rotatable interface has a fixed base with a conductive region on a bottom surface, the fixed base attached to a display screen of an input device. The method includes providing, during a first time period, a reference signal to first and second sets of electrodes of the input device that are each capacitively coupled to the conductive region. The method further includes, during a second time period, providing the reference signal to the first set of electrodes, providing a sensing signal to the second set of electrodes, and receiving, during the second time period, a resulting signal on the second set of electrodes. The method still further includes determining a translation of the rotatable interface relative to the display screen based, at least in part, on the resulting signal values received during the second time period.

Abstract: An input-display device includes a display screen disposed on a display substrate, the display screen including a multitude of display pixels. The input-display device further includes a multitude of capacitive sensing electrodes for capacitive sensing in a sensing region of the display screen. The input-display device also includes a source driver circuit configured to generate a data voltage for driving a pixel circuit associated with one display pixel of the multitude of display pixels and determine a timing for a compensatory modulation of the data voltage. The timing is determined using a sensing waveform of the capacitive sensing. The source driver circuit is also configured to determine an amplitude of the compensatory modulation, generate a modulated data voltage by applying the compensatory modulation to the data voltage, and drive the pixel circuit using the modulated data voltage.

Abstract: A processing system and method are provided. The processing system also includes a noise measurement circuit that receives second resulting signals from a second plurality of sensor electrodes, and mixes the second resulting signals with a second mixer signal to generate a second mixed signal, wherein the second mixer signal has a second phase and the second mixed signal corresponds to a first noise measurement.

The in-ear detection components may include a differentiator operable to receive a gain of the wireless signal and output a rate of change of the gain, a comparator operable to output a proximity state if the rate of change is greater than a threshold value, wherein the proximity state includes an in-ear state and an open-air state, and false detection components operable to analyze the wireless signal to confirm the determined proximity state for an interval of time.
