When a grid point that is the object to be mapped is present in a first division region a color of which has lightness equal to or higher than the lightness at the maximum chroma point in the color gamut and has chroma higher than the chroma at that point, the intersection of a straight line connecting the grid point to the maximum chroma point and an achromatic axis is calculated and a point having lightness equal to or higher than the lightness of the intersection is set as the focal color. Then, the intersection of a straight line connecting the object grid point to the focal color and the boundary of color gamut is set as an output color for the grid point. The output colors are prevented from being separated into color on the high and on the low lightness sides with respect to the maximum chroma point.

A fluid jet device including a fluid chamber with variable capacity and a capacity varying section adapted to vary the capacity of the fluid chamber in response to supply of a drive signal. A drive waveform section making the capacity varying section operate so as to compress the capacity of the fluid chamber and a restoring drive waveform section making the capacity varying section operate to restore the capacity of the fluid chamber before compressing the capacity in a signal waveform. The drive signal supply section controls supply content of the drive signal to provide a restoring period adapted to restore a steady state of the fluid flowing toward an inside of the fluid chamber in a period from when the compressing drive waveform section in the drive signal is supplied to when a subsequent compressing drive waveform section is supplied.

In the first connection state, the charged second storage element and the series storage element group are connected to the load while the second storage element and the series storage element group are connected in series. In order to simultaneously carry out, at a smaller sensor density, (i) detection of color information (recognition of a color) of visible light which enters a detection target surface and (ii) detection of an input position of the visible light, a liquid-crystal panel (20) included in a liquid-crystal display device of the present invention has an area sensor function of detecting color information and an input position of visible light by sensing an input image of the visible light on a panel surface. The liquid-crystal panel (20) (position detecting section) includes (i) a yellow sensor (31Y) including a light sensor element (30) which senses an intensity of green light and red light from among three primary color lights and (ii) a cyan sensor (31C) including a light sensor element (30) which senses an intensity of blue light and green light from among the three primary color lights. Sensing of the input image of the visible light on the panel surface by each of the yellow sensor (31Y) and the cyan sensor (31C) allows detection of the color information and the input position.
