摘要： The recording medium cartridge accommodates a recording medium such as a magnetic tape, a optical and/or magnetic disk, or the like in a cartridge body having an upper half and a lower half. A non-contact type memory device storing information, for example, given when producing the cartridge is provided in a reel of at least one of upper and lower flanges of a tape reel or on a surface facing to the tape winding surface of the body in the cartridge accommodating the tape reel wound with the tape, or in a recessed portion formed in at least one of a bottom surface of the lower half and an upper surface of a slider or in the slider in the cartridge having the slider, or in a transparent window of the body. A part of at least one of the upper and lower halves that corresponds to the memory device may be notched. The memory device may be welded together when fitting other members.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette includes a case that is formed by joining an upper half and a lower half, one or more tape reels, a window and a reel urging member having a tape reel contacting portion which contacts an upper part of the tape reel(s), bent arms connected to opposite sides of the tape reel contacting portion and sliding end portions provided at distal ends of the bent arm. A slide groove is provided in an inner surface of a perimeter of a window opening in the upper half and a window member has hold-and-retain portions which hold the sliding end portions in cooperation with a bottom surface of the slide groove into which the sliding end portions have been fitted. A tape reel suitable for use with the magnetic tape cassette, a resinous leaf spring and its production process are also provided. Tape reels housed in a cassette case can be urged toward the lower half by a member whose structure is simple and permits easy fitting and removal. Assorted collection of constituent materials, particularly for assorted collection of resin materials and selective collection of resin materials as separate from metal materials are possible.

摘要： In this recording media cartridge, a reel around which a recording medium is wound is rotatably received within a case body constituted by coupling upper and lower halves in a face-to-face relationship, the reel is urged toward the lower half by a planar reel presser spring supported on an inner surface of the upper half as in a cantilever, and the reel presser spring is detachably mounted on the inner surface of the upper half, so that the reel presser spring can be collected without damaging components of the cartridge such as the case body, the reel presser spring and a reel lock member. As a result, in this cartridge, the waste materials can be reduced and the impact on the environment can be reduced. The cartridge is effective when different materials are sorted, and the disassembling work can be simplified.

On back faces (18b) of the guide faces (18a) of the tape guides (18), are formed cam grooves (26) for guiding an open/close lid (320) which covers the stretched magnetic tape (T). In lower parts of the back faces (18b) and backward of the cam grooves (26), there are formed projections (28) provided with position detecting holes (28a). Molding sink preventive recesses are formed only at positions on the back faces (18b) forward of the cam grooves (26) and above the projections (28).

摘要： The cassette half molding method molds one of upper and lower halves of the magnetic tape cassette by injection molding with an injection mold in which a gas vent pin for smoothing a flow of molten resin to be introduced in the cavity for molding a transparent or semitransparent window portion provided in the upper half. The cassette half is molded by this molding method. The magnetic tape cassette has a friction sheet interposed either between a pair of take-up hubs and the upper half, or between the pair of take-up hubs and the lower half, or both, and the friction sheet is made of polyethylene-based resin and has a surface electric resistance value in the range of 1×107 &OHgr; to 1×1010 &OHgr;. The magnetic tape cassette has a rib for reducing a resistance when the roller of the detecting member passes through which is provided at a position corresponding to a recess and on a side of the front lid in the top surface of the body case.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette, such as a high performance video cassette, having a greatly improved dust-proofing function. In a first embodiment, operating portions of brake members which engage a brake release lever which is inserted into the cassette at the time of recording or reproduction to release the braking system of the cassette are formed in an inverted cup shape so as to close the hole through which the brake release lever is inserted and to contain the end of the brake release lever when inserted into the hole. In a second embodiment, separate engagement and abutment portions are provided for each brake portion so as to prevent inadvertent opening of the hole if the tape reels are moved during storage. In a third embodiment, the dust-blocking member takes the form of a slitted flexible sheet member covering the hole when the cassette is not in use.
