Abstract: In an example, a subject using a user mobile-identification-credential device (UMD) requests vetting by a vetting system, which receives verified part or all of subject information associated with a level-n mobile identification credential (MIC-n) that UMD received from a level-n authorizing party system (APS-n). The MIC-n is linked to lower level MIC-0 to MIC-(n−1). The vetting system, as level-n relying party system (RPS-n), uses the verified subject information associated with the linked MIC-0 to MIC-n to verify or not verify the identity of the subject, develops an identity profile of the subject, and determines a vetting result of the subject. MIC-i (i=1 to n) is linked to MIC-(i−1) which UMD received from APS-(i−1), and the APS-i is RPS-(i−1) which verified the identity of the subject using verified part or all of subject information associated with the MIC-(i−1), such that MIC-0 to MIC-n from level-0 to level-n are linked.

Abstract: In an example, a patient using a user mobile-identification-credential device (UMD) requests the patient's medical record from a medical office using a relying party system (RPS). The RPS requests identification information of the patient from the UMD and receives, based on consent of the patient, some or all patient identification information associated with a mobile identification credential (MIC) previously provisioned to the UMD an authorizing party system (APS). The RPS receives verification of the received patient identification information, uses the verified user ID information to verify or not verify the identity of the patient, and verifies the identity of the patient before granting the request to provide the medical record to the patient. The patient has the option of releasing part or all of the medical record to a third party. In one embodiment, the patient stores the medical record with a service provider and authorizes, in advance, certain medical personnel to have access to it.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed toward systems and methods relating to security screening. For example, a screening system includes chamber scanners oriented to scan different heights corresponding to different respective portions of a user, to identify whether the user is carrying an item that is to be divested. The screening system also includes a divestment scanner configured to obtain a detailed item characterization of the item divested from the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described, and an example system includes logic that implements a user interface and that accepts an indicator of data, and upon identifying the data is restricted access, receives via the interface attributes of tasks, and of the user, and determines a task-user attribute matrix based on the user input. The logic sends a data-coefficient request to access modules, receives a reply message that includes sensitivity metadata coefficient, a privacy metadata coefficient, a combinability metadata coefficient, and a security metadata coefficient. The logic constructs, using a content of the reply message, a metadata coefficient matrix. The logic applies a dynamic access evaluation that is based on the task-user attribute matrix and the metadata coefficient matrix and, upon a positive evaluation, accesses the restricted-access data and provides the accessed data to a data cache. Optionally, the data cache feeds a system of system operational analytics.

Abstract: In examples, a relative skin reflectance of a captured image of a subject is determined. The determination selects from the captured image pixels of the subject's face and pixels in the background and normalizes luminance values of the skin pixels using the background pixels. The relative skin reflectance value is determined for the captured image, based on the normalized luminance values of the skin pixels. Optionally the relative skin reflectance value is qualified, based on thresholds of skin reflectance values, as suitable for biometric use. Optionally, a non-qualifying captured image is flagged and, optionally, another image is acquired, or the non-conforming image is processed further to transform the image into a suitable image for biometric analysis.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for forming a simulant. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided for identifying and forming a simulant. The method identifies, using processing circuitry, a compound. The method further identifies, using the processing circuitry, a plurality of ingredients, wherein the simulant is a combination of the plurality of ingredients. The method further identifies for evaluation, using the processing circuitry, one or more metrics of the simulant. The method further determines, using the processing circuitry, proportions of each of the plurality of ingredients by optimizing a quadratic function based on the one or more metrics of the simulant. The method further outputs the proportions of each of the plurality of ingredients, and forms a mixture of the plurality of ingredients based on the proportions of each of the plurality of ingredients.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an artificial skin having a radar absorbing layer and a conductive layer containing an electrically conductive material, wherein the artificial skin has a reflection coefficient substantially equal to a human skin reflection coefficient, the human skin reflection coefficient being determined at an electromagnetic radiation frequency ranging from 1-500 GHz. A human phantom composed of the artificial skin and methods of testing the contrast resolution sufficiency of and active millimeter wave imaging system using the human phantom are also disclosed.

The system also includes a pressurized gas supply in pneumatic communication with the modular connection, sensors for measuring the amount of pressure being applied by the pneumatically-actuated, modular components, a display for providing system information, and a controller for controlling the system. Methods of treating a wounded subject using the system are also provided.

Abstract: An X-ray imaging system for reconstructing X-ray spectra includes an integrating detector and a measurement mask, including at least one physical filter, positioned between the integrating detector and an X-ray source spectrum. The integrating detector receives a masked X-ray spectrum after the source spectrum has been filtered in accordance with the measurement mask. As a result of the measurement mask containing one or more physical filters being combined, a measurement mask having energy band-pass regions can be generated, to cover the source spectrum. Measured data, based on the masked X-ray spectrum and characteristics of the measurement mask, is collected from the integrating detector. The X-ray imaging system reconstructs an X-ray spectrum and generates the reconstructed X-ray spectrum based on applying a predetermined algorithm, such as total variation minimization reconstruction, to the measured data.
