Abstract:
A housing for an electronic device is disclosed, the housing comprises a base layer and a transparent film layer overlapped in the base layer, the film layer includes an inner surface abutting the base layer and an outer surface having ridges protruding thereform. The housing is formed by injection molding a molten plastic material over the transparent film layer, the ridges are formed on the transparent film layer by the molten plastic pressing the transparent film layer in injection molding. It is also disclosed a mold for making the housing and a method to make the housing.
Abstract:
A cable clip has a body and a fastener. The body has two supporting arms and a connecting arm. Each supporting arm has two ends. The connecting arm is formed between corresponding ends of the supporting arms. The fastener is mounted pivotally on the connecting arm of the body and has a through hole and multiple side surfaces. Distances from the through hole to the side surfaces of the fastener are different. Then, rotating the fastener adjusts the side surfaces abutting a plug to different plugs in different sizes.
Abstract:
A method for making device housing comprises: providing a transparent film; forming a coating on one surface of the film by printing ink containing metal powder on the film and ultrasonically treating the coating; and molding a substrate onto the coating.

Abstract:
Drug delivery devices comprising a non-bioabsorbable polymer structure and a composition comprising an active agent have been discovered. The drug delivery devices may be used to treat ocular conditions, among other diseases and conditions. In addition, a method of treating an ocular condition has been discovered comprising implanting a drug delivery device which releases the active agent at a rate of Q=0.001×N×C wherein C is the topical effective concentration (in milligram/mL) of the active agent and N=0.01 to 0.5 for prostaglandins in their ester, amide, free acid or salt form, and N=0.5 to 5 for any active agent other than prostaglandins in their ester, amide, free acid or salt form.
Abstract:
A connecting and retaining structure for a shoe covering and trouser leg combination includes a connecting portion, a retaining portion, an extension portion, a position fixing portion and a shoe covering, and is capable of covering of the leg portion of a user against rain. A periphery of the retaining portion forms a covering that enables the extension portion and the shoe covering to be retained therein. The shoe covering is joined to a lower end of the extension portion, and is provided with an opening, through which the shoe covering and the extension portion can be rolled up and then disposed within the retaining portion. The extension portion adopts a flexible soft lining having length longer than the connecting portion, and provides an allowance for displacement and extension of the legs of the user when wearing the shoe coverings, thereby enabling unhindered large extending movements of the legs.
Abstract:
A light source module for generating polarized light includes a light emitting element, a reflector, and an optical element. The light emitting element generates a light ray, and the reflector reflects the light ray towards the optical element. The optical element includes a light splitting face and a reflection face. The light splitting face receives the light ray, and an angle between the light splitting face and the incident light ray is at about a Brewster's Angle. After the light ray is irradiated to the light splitting face, the light ray is divided into a refraction light and a reflection light. The reflection face reflects the refraction light, and the reflection face is substantially perpendicular to a path of the refraction light. Therefore, a light source with a high degree of polarization is realized by a design of the light splitting face and the reflection face.
Abstract:
A gated-diode semiconductor device or similar component and a method of fabricating the device. The device features a gate structure disposed on a substrate over a channel and adjacent a source and a drain. The top of the source or drain region, or both, are formed so as to be at a higher elevation, in whole or in part, than the bottom of the gate structure. This configuration may be achieved by overlaying the gate structure and substrate with a profile layer that guides a subsequent etch process to create a sloped profile. The source and drain, if both are present, may be symmetrical or asymmetrical. This configuration significantly reduces dopant encroachment and, as a consequence, reduces junction leakage.
Abstract:
A method for accessing a Flash memory including a plurality of blocks includes: selectively programming a page in a first block of the blocks; when a status of the Flash memory is abnormal, determining whether a number of error bits is less than a predetermined value; and when the number of error bits is not less than the predetermined value, moving the first block. An associated memory device and a controller thereof are also provided, where the controller includes: a read only memory (ROM) arranged to store a program code; and a microprocessor arranged to execute the program code to control the access to the Flash memory. In addition, when the number of error bits is not less than the predetermined value, the controller that executes the program code by utilizing the microprocessor moves the first block.
Abstract:
A lubricated bushing is mounted in a mounting cavity in a bushing housing and has a body and a flange. The body has an axial hole formed coaxially through the body to rotatably hold a shaft of a rotor of a fan and a bottom concentric recess formed in a bottom end of the body. The flange is formed on and protrudes radially out from the outer wall of the body, is mounted against an inner wall of the mounting recess, extends longitudinally from the top end of body and is shorter than half the body. Even though the inner wall of the mounting cavity tightly compresses the flange, the compressive force cannot be effectively transmitted to the body to deform the axial hole, so the shaft is kept from seizing up in the axial hole.
