Abstract: Provided are techniques for analyzing fields. Statistical metrics for each field in a data set are received. A general interestingness index is generated for each field using one or more combination functions that aggregate standardized interestingness sub-indexes. One or more fields are identified as interesting for further analysis using the general interestingness index. One or more expert recommendations for field transformations are constructed for the identified one or more fields.

Abstract: A method can include receiving at a cluster head, a multicast/broadcast packet from a base station. The method can also include monitoring, at the cluster head, to detect whether any members of a cluster of the cluster head responds to the multicast/broadcast packet with a negative acknowledgment directed to the cluster head. The method can further include, when a result of the monitoring is no detection of any negative acknowledgments, and the cluster head successfully received the multicast/broadcast packet, sending, by the cluster head, a general acknowledgment of the multicast/broadcast packet to the base station.

Abstract: This application relates to recombinant human interferon-like proteins. In one embodiment a recombinant protein created by gene shuffling technology is described having enhanced anti-viral and anti-proliferative activities in comparison to naturally occurring human interferon alpha 2b (HuIFN-α2b). The invention encompasses a polynucleotide encoding the protein and recombinant vectors and host cells comprising the polynucleotide. Preferably the polynucleotide is selected from the group of polynucleotides each having a sequence at least 93% identical to SEQ ID: No. 1 and the protein is selected from the group of proteins each having an amino acid sequence at least 85% identical to SEQ ID No: 2. The proteins and compositions comprising the proteins can be used for treatment of conditions responsive to interferon therapy, such as viral diseases and cancer.

Abstract: In one embodiment the present invention includes a method for starting up a class D amplifier. The method comprises increasing, gating, and driving. The increasing includes increasing a duty cycle of a pulse train from a first duty cycle to a second duty cycle. The gating includes gating a signal based on the increasing of the duty cycle. The gating results in a gated signal. The driving includes driving an output signal from the gated signal to charge an output capacitor. The output capacitor is coupled to a speaker. The increasing of the duty cycle contributes to the charging of the output capacitor such that switching sounds detectable by the human ear are reduced.

Abstract: Various lens barrels and lenses are provided which may be used in miniature cameras. In one example, a lens barrel assembly includes a substantially cylindrical lens barrel with a first end including a first aperture and a second end including a second aperture. The first end further includes a first substantially annular portion having a first diameter and a first external surface. The first end also includes a second substantially annular portion having a second diameter and a second external surface. The second diameter is smaller than the first diameter and greater than a diameter of the first aperture. The first external surface of the first substantially annular portion is recessed in relation to the second external surface of the second substantially annular portion. The lens barrel assembly may also include a lens having a portion that protrudes from the second aperture of the second end of the housing.
