摘要: Methods and systems for reducing power consumption of a display link by compacting image data to allow the display link to be deactivated for a longer duration. For instance, pixels that correspond to a preset or default value for a display may be omitted from pixel data sent over the display link. Additionally or alternatively, the display link may be divided into multiple lanes that function independently so that a lane of the display link may be deactivated while other lanes are actively transmitting image data.

摘要: An electronic display includes emission clock routing without the use of repeaters. This may be accomplished by providing row drivers for each emission clock signal on opposing edges of the display panel, so that each set of row drivers may provide the emission clock signal to only a portion of the micro-drivers in each row. The array of micro-drivers may be further segmented (e.g., into four or more sections, an alternating pattern, uneven sections, etc.) to provide similar advantages. Furthermore, rather than using multiplexors to provide the emission clock signals to the row drivers, the emission clock may be hardwired to the row drivers. This may reduce the number of pins and support the provision of more phases.

摘要: An electronic device may include an electronic display having multiple display pixels. The display pixels may illuminate at a target luminance based at least in part on a first analog voltage signal. The electronic device may also include an electrical bus configured to generate multiple analog voltage signals including the first analog voltage signal, which is output on an output of the electrical bus. The electrical bus may include a digital to analog converter to generate at least some of the analog voltage signals and multiple output buffers to buffer the analog voltage signals. The outputs may be buffered by an output buffer of the output buffers.

摘要: A display device may include a plurality of pixels that may display image data on a display. The display device may also include a circuit that may receive pixel data including a gray level for at least one pixel of the plurality of pixels. The circuit may then receive an emission clock signal using a clock circuit based on the pixel data, such that the emission clock signal may cause the at least one pixel to receive a current for an amount of time based on the gray level. The circuit may then gate off the clock circuit after the amount of time.

摘要: A display may have a substrate layer to which a display driver integrated circuit and flexible printed circuit are bonded. The display driver integrated circuit may be provided with switches and control circuitry for controlling the operation of the switches during bond resistance measurements. Test equipment may apply currents to pads in the display driver integrated circuit through contacts in the flexible printed circuit while controlling the switching circuitry. Based on these measurements and the measurement of trace resistances in a dummy flexible printed circuit, the test equipment may determine bond resistances for bonds between the display driver integrated circuit and the display substrate and between the flexible printed circuit and the display substrate. Displays may have master and slave display driver integrated circuits that share coarse reference voltages produced by the master from raw power supply voltages.

摘要: A sensing device can be included in a display of an electronic device. Various techniques can be used to reduce display noise in the signals output from the sensing device. The techniques include the use of a filtering layer in a display stack, the use of a non-uniform sampling scheme, averaging together noise signal samples sampled over multiple display frames, and inverting a phase of the sampling of the noise signal over multiple display frames.
