Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a terminal module received in a metallic shell. The terminal module includes a base portion and receptacle terminals held on the base portion. A notch is recessed from a periphery of an insertion opening of the metallic shell. Therefore, when the electrical receptacle connector is assembled in an electronic device, the periphery of the notch corresponds to the periphery of a cut opening of a housing of the electronic device. The periphery of the cut opening and the periphery of the notch are aligned along the same profile line, and the periphery of the notch does not protrude out of the cut opening. Therefore, the periphery of the insertion opening will not interfere with other components assembled with the housing, and the problem of that the conventional design cannot satisfy the design change of the housing of the electronic device can be solved.
Abstract:
A waterproof electrical receptacle connector includes a plastic shell, a metallic shell, an insulated housing, and a buckling member. The plastic shell includes a shell body, a through hole defined in the shell body, and an assembling hole defined on the shell body. The metallic shell is received in the through hole and defines a receiving cavity. The insulated housing is received in the receiving cavity and includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The buckling member is positioned with the assembling hole and includes a buckling body and a hook extending from the bottom of the buckling body and protruded out of the assembling hole. Accordingly, the hook is protruded out of the assembling hole and engaged with a buckling hole of a circuit board, so that the front of waterproof electrical receptacle connector can be firmly positioned with the circuit board.
Abstract:
A waterproof electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing, a metallic shell, and a sealing member (e.g., a waterproof glue block). The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extended from one side of the base portion. The metallic shell includes a tubular portion and an outer peripheral portion. The outer peripheral portion is formed by deep drawing techniques and extended from the rear of the tubular portion. The inner dimension of the outer peripheral portion is greater than the inner dimension of the tubular portion. A filling groove is forming between the inner wall of the outer peripheral portion and the outer surface of the base portion. The sealing member is formed at the filling groove to fill a gap between the inner wall of the outer peripheral portion and the outer surface of the base portion and fill the bottom of the base portion.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell and one or more insertion modules. The metallic shell includes two first walls, two second walls, and several protrusions. The walls form an insertion space. The protrusions are extending toward the insertion space from the first walls, and the protrusions are integrally formed on the first walls seamlessly. The insertion module includes an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate between the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals. When the electrical receptacle connector is mated with an electrical plug connector, the protrusions are in contact with a metallic shell of the electrical plug connector. Because the walls of the metallic shell are seamless, the connector assembly of the plug and receptacle can be waterproof. Moreover, the contacts between the protrusions and the electrical plug connector reduce the electromagnetic interferences and the radiofrequency interferences.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulator and a blanking contact set. The insulator includes a tongue portion and an insulator rear end. The blanking contact set includes a plurality of blanking contacts. At least one of the blanking contacts includes a connecting portion, a contacting portion, and a soldering portion. The connecting portion is combined with the insulator. The contacting portion extends from the connecting portion toward the tongue portion and stretches out of a first surface of the tongue portion. The soldering portion extends from the connecting portion toward the insulator rear end and stretches out of the insulator rear end. A central axis of the contacting portion is spaced from a central axis of the soldering portion by an offset. The connecting portion connects the contacting portion and the soldering portion.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a shell, a first insulator, a second insulator and a blanking contact. The first insulator is disposed in the shell. The first insulator has a first insulator front end and a first insulator rear end. The second insulator is disposed in the shell and installed on the first insulator. The second insulator has a combining area. The blanking contact includes a fixing portion, a soldering portion, a contact portion and a combining portion. The fixing portion is combined with the first insulator. The soldering portion protrudes from the fixing portion toward the first insulator rear end and stretches out of the first insulator rear end. The contact portion protrudes from the fixing portion toward the first insulator front end and stretches out of the first insulator rear end. The combining portion protrudes from the contacting portion and inserts into the combining area.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a first insulated member and a second insulated member that are received in a metallic shell. First receptacle terminals are second receptacle terminals are respectively held in the first insulated member and the second insulated member. The first receptacle terminals include first tail portions, the second receptacle terminals include second tail portions, and the first tail portions and the second tail portions are aligned with each other by an offset. Therefore, the soldering condition between the second tail portions and contacts of a circuit board can be checked.
Abstract:
An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, and a plurality of plug terminals. The insulated housing is received in the metallic shell. The insulated housing includes a first groove and a plurality of second grooves. The plug terminals are held in the insulated housing in a single row manner. Each of the plug terminals includes a flexible contact portion, a body portion, and a plurality of cut portions. The flexible contact portion is extending backward from the body portion in the front-to-rear direction and protruded from the insulated housing. The cut portions are at the body portion and correspond to the first groove, and the flexible contact portions respectively correspond to the second grooves.
Abstract:
A standing-type electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a plurality of first receptacle terminals, and a plurality of second receptacle terminals. The insulated housing received in the metallic shell is assembled with the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals. The first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals are respectively held at two sides of the insulated housing along a width direction of the insulated housing, and the length of each of the body portions of the receptacle terminals gradually increases along the width direction of the insulated housing. The tail portions are extending out of the insulated housing and soldered on a circuit board. Accordingly, the standing-type electrical receptacle connector can be assembled to the circuit board in a standing manner.
