Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a first insulated member and a second insulated member that are received in a metallic shell. A plurality of first receptacle terminals and a plurality of second receptacle terminals are respectively held in the first insulated member and the second insulated member. The first insulated member includes a tongue portion. The second insulated member includes a terminal positioning portion on the surface of the first insulated member. The surface of the terminal positioning portion and the surface of the tongue portion are at the same horizontal plane. A surface texture of the terminal positioning portion is different from a surface texture of the tongue portion.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, first glue recess, and a first texture region. The metallic shell circularly encloses the insulated housing. The first and second receptacle terminals are held in the insulated housing. The first texture region is annularly formed on an inner wall of the metallic shell and corresponds to a periphery of the outer wall of the insulated housing. Therefore, the sealing member can attach onto the first texture region efficiently. Therefore, the sealing member does not overflow to the front portion of the receptacle cavity, and the inner gap can be sealed by the sealing member properly. Hence, the first texture region allows the sealing member to attach onto the inner wall of the shell body, and the sealing member can cover the inner gap completely to provide a reliable waterproof performance.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member received in a metallic shell. A tongue portion is integrally formed with a front end of the mount member. Accordingly, a grounding plate, first receptacle terminals, and second receptacle terminals that are at the front end of the mount member can be positioned. In addition, the front ends of the first receptacle terminals are held in a first surface of the tongue portion, and the front ends of the second receptacle terminals are held in a second surface of the tongue portion. Since the tongue portion and the mount member are formed integrally with each other, the first receptacle terminals, the second receptacle terminals, and the mount member can be firmly positioned with each other. Accordingly, when the connector is impacted by a foreign force, the components of the connector would not detach from each other easily.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a plurality of first receptacle terminals, and a plurality of second receptacle terminals. The insulated housing is received in the receiving cavity. The insulated housing includes a tongue portion and a plurality of first grooves formed on the tongue portion. The first receptacle terminals are held in the tongue portion. The second receptacle terminals are held in the tongue portion. The second receptacle terminals include a plurality of cut portions corresponding to the first grooves.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a terminal module received in a metallic shell. The terminal module includes a base portion and receptacle terminals held on the base portion. A notch is recessed from a periphery of an insertion opening of the metallic shell. Therefore, when the electrical receptacle connector is assembled in an electronic device, the periphery of the notch corresponds to the periphery of a cut opening of a housing of the electronic device. The periphery of the cut opening and the periphery of the notch are aligned along the same profile line, and the periphery of the notch does not protrude out of the cut opening. Therefore, the periphery of the insertion opening will not interfere with other components assembled with the housing, and the problem of that the conventional design cannot satisfy the design change of the housing of the electronic device can be solved.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell and one or more insertion modules. The metallic shell includes two first walls, two second walls, and several protrusions. The walls form an insertion space. The protrusions are extending toward the insertion space from the first walls, and the protrusions are integrally formed on the first walls seamlessly. The insertion module includes an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate between the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals. When the electrical receptacle connector is mated with an electrical plug connector, the protrusions are in contact with a metallic shell of the electrical plug connector. Because the walls of the metallic shell are seamless, the connector assembly of the plug and receptacle can be waterproof. Moreover, the contacts between the protrusions and the electrical plug connector reduce the electromagnetic interferences and the radiofrequency interferences.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a shell, a first insulator, a second insulator and a blanking contact. The first insulator is disposed in the shell. The first insulator has a first insulator front end and a first insulator rear end. The second insulator is disposed in the shell and installed on the first insulator. The second insulator has a combining area. The blanking contact includes a fixing portion, a soldering portion, a contact portion and a combining portion. The fixing portion is combined with the first insulator. The soldering portion protrudes from the fixing portion toward the first insulator rear end and stretches out of the first insulator rear end. The contact portion protrudes from the fixing portion toward the first insulator front end and stretches out of the first insulator rear end. The combining portion protrudes from the contacting portion and inserts into the combining area.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle connector includes a first insulated member and a second insulated member that are received in a metallic shell. First receptacle terminals are second receptacle terminals are respectively held in the first insulated member and the second insulated member. The first receptacle terminals include first tail portions, the second receptacle terminals include second tail portions, and the first tail portions and the second tail portions are aligned with each other by an offset. Therefore, the soldering condition between the second tail portions and contacts of a circuit board can be checked.
