摘要： An image forming apparatus for forming an over laid image on a transfer material includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member movable along an endless path, a latent image forming device for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive member, a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image with toner, and a transfer device for transferring the toner image onto the transfer material. The latent image forming device includes a controller for changing a latent image forming condition go as to reduce a potential difference between a latent image potential formed in a first rotation of the photosensitive drum at the start of image forming operation and a latent image potential in a subsequent rotation, and a latent image to be developed is formed from the first rotation without pre-rotation effected until the charge potential of the photosensitive member is stabilized.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided with an image carrier which rotates while carrying an electrostatic latent image, developer for developing the electrostatic latent image on the image carrier, transfer drum for transferring the developed image on the image carrier onto a recording medium in a transfer unit, a first storage unit for storing a recording medium to be fed to the transfer unit, and a second storage unit for storing a recording medium to be fed to the transfer unit, the second storage unit having a short feed time to the transfer unit. An electrostatic latent image forming condition is changed in correspondence with the number of revolutions of the image carrier, and a change in electrostatic latent image forming condition is controlled in correspondence with the storage unit which stores the recording medium to be fed.

摘要： An image forming apparatus for forming images on a recording medium on the basis of an electrophotography system includes a calculator for determining the quantities of state and quantities of control using fuzzy sets and for calculating, for each color, quantities of control. 摘要： An image forming apparatus such as a laser beam printer or an ink-jet recording apparatus has a recording head which records an image on a recording medium in the direction of main scan in accordance with image signals. The recoding medium is moved relative to the recording head in a sub-scan direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the main scan. A controller controls conditions of recording performed by the recording head so as to effect a correction of recording density unevenness cause by a variation of the relative speed of movements of parts of the apparatus.

摘要： This invention intends to reduce, in the formation of a color image in consideration of the reproducible color region in the image formation, the time required from the start of image formation to the formation of a reproduced full-color image. This is achieved by judging, by a selection circuit 14, whether the color space of the full-color original is within the color reproduction region of the printer, and setting an image processing condition by the selection circuit 14, according to the result of the judgment, after the image formation of a first color but prior to the image formation of a second color.
