Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses disclosed herein can operate on an unlicensed spectrum. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can perform a first listen-before-talk (LBT) operation of a LBT protocol in a first slot from among multiple slots to determine whether the unlicensed spectrum is unoccupied. Thereafter, these systems, methods, and apparatuses can transmit an uplink (UL) transmission in other slots from among the plurality of slots in response to the unlicensed spectrum being unoccupied. Otherwise, these systems, methods, and apparatuses can perform a second LBT operation in a second slot from among the plurality of slots in response to the unlicensed spectrum being occupied.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a resource allocation and user multiplexing capacity enhancements for interlace based physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) formats in new radio (NR) using unlicensed spectrum (NR-U). The systems and methods can include at least generating, by the UE, an uplink signal according to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format and having “n” number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) that are mapped in an interlaced manner across a frequency domain on a orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, wherein “n” is an integer multiple of a number of PRBs per interlace, and transmitting, by the UE, the uplink signal over a PUCCH that utilizes unlicensed spectrum in a new radio wireless network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes improving a 4-step RACH procedure by using a 2-step RACH procedure. A UE transmits a PRACH preamble and associated MsgA physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) on a configured time and frequency resource. After successful detection of the PRACH preamble, and decoding of the MsgA PUSCH, the gNB transmits MsgB in the second step. Generally, a mapping is used between the PRACH preamble and the PUSCH resource unit for 2-step RACH. This disclosure describes the mapping for 2-step RACH.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for determining a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates and non-overlapped control channel elements (CCEs) for a UE configured with a plurality of component carriers having more than one subcarrier spacing (SCS). The plurality of component carriers are assigned to a number of cell groups. Each cell group includes a scheduling component carrier providing scheduling information for the other component carriers in the cell group. A reference slot window is selected based on an SCS of component carriers assigned to each cell group. And a number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs per the reference slot window are determined based on a number of and SCS of the component carriers in each cell group. Control information in a downlink radio frame is monitored by the UE based on the number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for multiplexing uplink (UL) and/or downlink (DL) data transmission packets in user equipment (UE). In some embodiments, the UE may receive a resource configuration from a network node including one or more parameters for establishing a communication channel. The UE may receive a command from the network node indicating a UL grant for packet transmission from the UE. While preparing to transmit a first packet corresponding to the UL grant, the UE may receive a second packet having a higher priority designation, wherein the second packet includes an overlapping symbol with the first packet. The UE may transmit the second packet in view of this higher priority.

Abstract: Resource allocation is provided for an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network, such as a distributed unit (DU) of an IAB. Methods and systems for allocating resources include allocating a first cell-specific pattern of downlink-flexible-uplink (DL-F-UL) availability for one or more slots, allocating a second cell-specific pattern of DL-F-UL availability for the one or more slots. The IAB DU can signal one or more of the first and second cell-specific patterns to an other IAB DU. At least one of the first cell-specific pattern and the second cell-specific pattern defines a slot format different from a DL-F-UL format. Slot format configuration (e.g., semi-static or dynamic SFI) are provided to support space division multiplexing/spatial multiplexing (SDM).

Some embodiments are directed to an apparatus including processor circuitry and radio front circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to determine, in accordance with a predetermined requirement, multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) to be used for transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) before a dedicated PUCCH resource configuration. The radio front end circuitry coupled with the processor circuitry can be configured to transmit the PUCCH using the determined PRBs and before the dedicated PUCCH resource configuration. The dedicated PUCCH resource configuration can include initial access before Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection setup.
