摘要: A three-dimensional object forming apparatus forms a three-dimensional object by binding powder particles with a curable liquid. The apparatus includes a powder layer forming unit that spreads a powder to a uniform thickness to form a powder layer. A curable liquid ejection head ejects the curable liquid to the powder layer through an ejection nozzle. A sectional data producing device produces sectional data at each of a plurality of cross sections of a desired three-dimensional object according to shape data of the desired three-dimensional object. A cross-sectional member forming section is also included by which cross-sectional members are formed by ejecting the curable liquid to the powder layer from the curable liquid ejection head according to the sectional data and thus binding the powder layer. The cross-sectional member forming section includes a permeation rate controller controlling the permeation rate of the curable liquid to the powder layer.

摘要: This invention allows a user to know whether printed materials to be discharged by executing a print job can be discharged, without waiting for the turn to execute the print job. Upon accepting a print job, an image forming apparatus registers the accepted print job in a print queue and discharges, to one of the lockable discharge units, sheets on which images are formed by executing the registered print job. Upon accepting the print job, the image forming apparatus determines, based on the discharge status of the discharge units after executing a preceding print job registered in the print job, whether sheets to be discharged by executing the print job can be discharged. If the sheets cannot be discharged, the image forming apparatus notifies the user of a message to this effect.

摘要: A data encryption device is connected between an HDD and an HDD controller that controls the HDD. The data encryption device encrypts data that is stored from the HDD controller to the HDD, and decrypts data that is read from the HDD. A CPU of the data encryption device receives a command issued from the HDD controller to the HDD, and determines whether the command is executable at the HDD. When it is determined that the command is executable, the command is issued to the HDD. On the other hand, when it is determined that the command is unexecutable, the CPU prohibits issuance of the command to the HDD. Furthermore, when a command issued to the HDD is a specific command, the CPU bypasses data transferred between the HDD controller and the HDD without encryption or decryption.
