Abstract: A computer-implemented method including deriving a health profile of a user from a sample taken from the user and displaying a representation of the health profile on a display, wherein the representation of the health profile includes a list of undesirable oral health characteristics that are detectable from the sample. The representation of the health profile may also include a list of desirable oral health characteristics that are detectable from the sample. Furthermore, a user may select one of the undesirable health characteristics, and in response an indication of historical values associated within he selected one of the undesirable health characteristics may be displayed on the display.

Abstract: An oral care implement handle or a refill head therefor. The refill head may include a sleeve portion extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the sleeve portion having an inner surface that defines an internal cavity. The internal cavity may extend along a sleeve axis from an open bottom end at the proximal end of the sleeve portion to a closed top end, the internal cavity being configured to receive an attachment portion of a stem of an oral care implement handle. The internal cavity may have a proximal section adjacent the open bottom end and a distal section adjacent the closed top end. The distal section of the internal cavity may include a central portion located on the sleeve axis and at least one slot portion radially extending from the central portion.

Abstract: A toothbrush includes a handle, a head at a distal end of the handle comprising a bristle plate, a hole extending through the bristle plate, a plurality of bristles at least partially disposed in the hole and extending from the hole in a direction away from the head, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the hole. Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

Abstract: An oral care implement including a handle and a replacement head that is detachably coupled to the handle. The handle may include a gripping portion extending from a proximal end to a distal end and a stem extending from the distal end of the gripping portion. The stem may have an inner cavity. A vibratory element including a motor and an eccentric may be partially located in the stem. The eccentric may have a first end that is operably coupled to the motor and a second end opposite the first end, the second end having an aperture therein. A guide pin may be fixed to the stem such that a first portion of the guide pin protrudes into the inner cavity of the stem. The first portion of the guide pin may extend through the aperture in the second end of the eccentric.

Abstract: An oral care implement including a handle and a replacement head that is detachably coupled to the handle. The replacement head may include a head portion and a sleeve portion. The head portion may have a front surface with tooth cleaning elements extending therefrom. The sleeve portion may have a cavity configured to receive a stem of the handle and a proximal edge defining an opening into the cavity. Furthermore, the sleeve portion may be formed from a first component formed of a rigid material and a second component formed of a resilient material. The first component of the sleeve portion may include a locking element that is configured to mate with a locking feature of the stem to couple the replacement head to the handle. A portion of the second component may cover the locking element so that no portion of the locking element is exposed.

Abstract: An oral care refill head and an oral care kit comprising the same. The oral care refill head may include a sleeve portion, a head portion, and an elastomeric prophy cup. The sleeve portion may have an inner surface that defines an internal cavity for receiving a portion of a stem of an oral care implement handle therein so that the oral care refill head can be repetitively attached to and detached from the oral care implement handle. The elastomeric prophy cup may comprise an outer surface that forms at least a portion of a peripheral side surface of the head portion. The elastomeric prophy cup may be formed by injection molding an elastomeric material onto a support portion of the head portion. The oral care refill head may be packaged together with a store of an anti-sensitivity oral care material to form a kit.

Abstract: An oral care implement such as a toothbrush includes a head defining a longitudinal axis and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements supported by the toothbrush head. The tooth cleaning elements preferably include at least one tooth polishing unit having a polishing element including a supporting base and a flexible tooth polishing head extending angularly from the base and defining a polishing surface. In a preferred embodiment, the polishing element is made of an elastomeric material. In some embodiments, the polishing element may be comprised of a plurality of individual polishing members.
