A vehicle suspension device having, for each suspension system, a suspension including a spring and a reversible electric actuator acting in parallel with the spring. The device includes provision for controlling the electric actuators of each of the suspension systems so that they each develop a force having two components: a damping component opposing the deflection speed and a trim correction component, the said trim correction components applying a trim correction torque to the suspended mass.

A toroidal core is produced on a rim 1 comprising a central portion connecting two annular lateral anchoring zones. The rim has an air passage orifice which can be selectively closed or opened and connected to a source of pressure, to the atmosphere or to vacuum. A conduit 3 passes through the rim and has a valve 30 which can be selectively closed or opened, the conduit extending to an orifice to which a pipeline can be connected by a suitable flange 13. A stretchable membrane 2 is mounted on the radially outer side of the rim and is fastened to it in air-tight manner on anchoring zones over the entire periphery of said rim so as to define a closed space on the radially outer side of said rim between the rim and the membrane. A fluid 6 fills said closed space to overflowing, said membrane being pressed against a mold 5. After filling, the membrane is pressed against the mass of filling material under the effect of the vacuum maintained in said closed space, thus producing a substantially rigid core supported by the rim 1.

A module (1) used for the manufacture of tires, comprising an inflatable flexible bladder (10) provided with two beads (11) which is used for the assembling and vulcanization of the tire on the bladder, each bead being anchored on a plate (30, 31). The module (1) has at least one rigid wall mounted on a plate (30, 31) which is adjacent said flexible bladder (10) when the latter is inflated and can be retracted so as to be able to separate the tire from said module (1) after vulcanization and can be spread out radially so as to constitute a reference surface for the assembling of the tire.

The suspension device controls the range of movement between a suspended point connected to the body 3 of a vehicle and a non-suspended point connected to a wheel 2 which includes an elastic link 1 mounted between said suspended and non-suspended points, the elastic link being essentially composed of a spring of stiffness K and predetermined length under a reference load and a reversible electric jack 5 acting parallel to the spring 4 in order to control the movements between said suspended and non-suspended points. The device controls the electric jack so that, based on a variation observed in the distance between the suspended and non-suspended points caused by relative displacement of the suspended and non-suspended points, regardless of the direction of displacement, it first follows the spring while supplying the electric jack 5 with electrical energy so that it develops a force oriented in the same direction as the displacement, and then releases the force developed by the electric jack 5 so as to cancel out the force within a predetermined relaxation time.

The present invention proposes a machine for the manufacture of tires on a core 1 which is used for the manufacture of said tires from the start of the assembling until the vulcanizing. The machine comprises, arranged adjacent to each other on a frame 5, a tire assembly station 2 comprising means for forming the raw tire by depositing the different compounds on the core 1 in the order and place required by the architecture of the tire, a vulcanization station 3, and a support handling station 4, as well as a crane 7 for transporting the core 1 between the different stations.

The path comprises a laying zone during which the laying head (3A) applies a length of cord. Between two successive passes of the laying head (3A), the rigid core (2) turns by an amount corresponding to the laying pitch.

The rubber products forming a part of the structure of a tire are laid onto a rigid core by means of a volumetric extruder having an outlet orifice of small size positioned close to the surface on which the rubber is to be applied. The rubber products are built up by a meridian displacement of the orifice relative to the receiving surface with the extrusion of a controlled volume of rubber.
