Abstract: An atomizer includes an atomizer body with a plurality of air passages defined therethrough from an upstream end of the atomizer body to a downstream end thereof. The air passages together define an air circuit through the atomizer body. A fuel circuit is defined in the atomizer body extending from a fuel inlet to a respective fuel outlet opening into each air passage. The air passages can be arranged circumferentially about a central axis defined by the atomizer body. The fuel circuit can include a manifold extending circumferentially about the atomizer body in fluid communication with a fuel opening in each respective air passage.

Abstract: A fuel injector system includes an outer support and an inner support, with a feed arm extending radially between the inner support and the outer support. A plurality of outlet openings extend in an axial direction from the feed arm for feeding respective injection nozzles. The outer support and feed arm define a plurality of fuel passages therethrough to convey fluid from an external source through the outer support and feed arm to the outlet openings. A heat shield extends around the feed arm from the outer support to the inner support. The heat shield is spaced apart from the feed arm with an insulative gap therebetween.

Abstract: A fuel injector for an exhaust heater includes a cover and an air blast nozzle. The cover has a nozzle seat, a fuel inlet, and an air inlet, the nozzle seat arranged along a flow axis. The air blast nozzle is seated in the nozzle seat and has a unibody. The air blast nozzle unibody is in fluid communication with the fuel inlet and the air inlet arranged along the flow axis to port fuel and air into a combustion volume, e.g., to heat a stream of exhaust gas flowing between an engine and a catalytic reactor by combustion with fuel introduced through the fuel inlet and air introduced through the air inlet.

Abstract: A heat transfer arrangement includes two or more heat transfer cells. The heat transfer cells together define a boundary between a higher temperature region and a lower temperature region. Each of the two or more heat transfer cells includes two or more walls defining a fluid tight cavity. One or more wick is fused to an inner surface of one or more of the walls to wick liquid from a lower temperature portion of the cavity to a higher temperature portion of the cavity. Abstract: A multipoint injection system includes a manifold with a plurality of flow passages defined through the manifold in the circumferential direction. The flow passages are spaced apart from one another in an axial direction. A plurality of feed arms extends radially inward from the manifold. Feed arm portions of the flow passages extend through each of the feed arms to respective outlets. The feed arm portions of the flow passages are within the axial width of the manifold. A plurality of injection nozzles are included, each in fluid communication with a respective one of the outlets. Each injection nozzle includes an air passage therethrough with an air inlet. The feed arms each follow a path that is circumferentially offset from the air inlets so each of the feed arms is clear from a flow path directly upstream in the axial direction of each of the air inlets.

Abstract: An internal fuel manifold for a turbomachine can include an outer ring defining one or more fuel supply channels configured to allow fuel flow around at least a portion of a circumference of the outer ring, and a plurality of branches extending radially inward from the outer ring. The branches include a high aspect ratio shape. The plurality of branches can include one or more branch fuel channels in fluid communication with at least one of the one or more fuel supply channels. The manifold includes one or more injector connectors extending axially aft from each branch, each injector connector in fluid communication with a branch fuel channel and configured to connect to a fuel injector. The manifold can include an inner ring extending from the plurality of branches. The inner ring and the outer ring are configured to receive a fuel injector and combustor assembly therebetween and to allow retaining of the fuel injector assembly and combustor assembly to the internal fuel manifold.
