摘要： A disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit employed during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery performs gas exchange, heat transfer, and microemboli filtering functions in a way as to conserve volume, to reduce setup and change out times, to eliminate a venous blood reservoir, and to substantially reduce blood-air interface. Blood from the patient or prime solution is routed through an air removal device that is equipped with air sensors for detection of air. An active air removal controller removes detected air from blood in the air removal device. A disposable circuit support module is used to mount the components of the disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit in close proximity and in a desirable spatial relationship to optimize priming and use of the disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit. A reusable circuit holder supports the disposable circuit support module in relation to a prime solution source, the active air removal controller and other components.

摘要： A flexible carrier for carrying a plurality of containers includes a flexible sheet having two rows of container receiving apertures formed therein. The plurality of containers are each placed into a respective container receiving aperture and are thus unitized in a package. The flexible carrier further includes a loop extending between the two rows of container receiving apertures at a periphery of the flexible sheet on an end of the package and beyond a longitudinal edge of the rows of the unitized containers. The loop is preferably capable of supporting the package when grasped by a consumer. The flexible carrier may further include an upwardly extending handle and/or a panel integrated with respect to the flexible sheet. The resulting package may be grasped from an end with the loop or, alternatively, from the top with the handle.

摘要： Disclosed is a hierarchy of individual schedulers with multiple scheduling lanes for scheduling items, such as, but not limited to packets or indications thereof, such that different classes of priority items can be propagated through the hierarchy of schedulers accordingly. A pipeline scheduler typically includes a root scheduler and one or more layers of schedulers with each of these layers including at least one scheduler. Each scheduler is configured to maintain items of different scheduling categories received from each of the particular scheduler's immediate children schedulers within the pipeline scheduler if any and from each immediate external source coupled to the particular scheduler if any, and to schedule the sending of the items of the different scheduling categories currently maintained to its parent schedule or external scheduler client. The items may correspond to packets, indications of packets, or any other entity.

These include generally longitudinal outer segments, each having inner and outer edges associated with one such aperture. When the stock is unstressed, two lateral portions of the inner edge are concave, two lateral portions of the outer edge are convex, and a central portion of the outer edge is concave. A central region between the lateral portions may have an integrally joined tear-open tab. Certain generally transverse segments, which join inner segments, may have curved edges when the stock is unstressed.

摘要： Carrier stock formed from a single sheet of resilient polymeric material, such as low density polyethylene, for machine application to side walls of substantially identical containers. Integrally joined band segments defining separate apertures to receive the individual containers include longitudinal, cross, and diagonal segments. The diagonal segments are joined at generally X-shaped junctions. From each junction, the generally oblique segments of a first pair are continuously curved toward the nearer edge of such stock and the diagonal segments of a second pair are substantially straight and tend toward the other edge of such stock. Each diagonal segment of the first pair at each junction has a progressively changing width, being wider at its end joined at such junction than at its other end, and has a substantially uniform width.
