    摘要: A plurality of pixel portions (12) are formed on a silicon substrate (11). A photoelectric converter portion (10) constituting each of the pixel portions (12) is electrically isolated by an element isolation portion (13) comprising an insulating film formed on the silicon substrate (11). The photoelectric converter portion (10) partitioned by the element isolation portion (13) is so formed that a crystal orientation of the sides in contact with the element isolation portion (13) corresponds to a direction. This makes it possible to reduce dark current caused by stress in the vicinity of the interface of the element isolation portion (13) and maintain high sensitivity even if the pixel portions (12) are made smaller in size.

The movable member is rotatably or swingingly supported by the support substrate through elastic support members.     摘要: Even in an image-forming apparatus including an optical deflection apparatus using a light source such as a high-power laser light source, a variation in temperature of an optical deflector due to modulation of deflected light based on drawing data is compensated to maintain a preferable oscillation state of the optical deflection apparatus. The optical deflection apparatus includes an optical deflector in which an oscillator is supported by an elastic support member to be oscillatable about a support substrate and at least one light source, and the optical deflection apparatus is controlled such that total power of light emitted from the light source to the optical deflector within each of a plurality of divided time regions corresponding to specific times of equal lengths becomes a predetermined power. A changed temperature of the optical deflector which is caused due to a variation in power of light emitted from the light source to the optical deflector may be corrected by a temperature control element based on the power of the light emitted from the light source to the optical deflector within the specific time to control the optical deflection apparatus.
