    Abstract: This application provides a QoS flow control method and an apparatus. An SMF network element receives first indication information sent by an access network apparatus, where the first indication information is used to indicate that a first QoS target of a QoS flow cannot be met; and the SMF network element does not process the QoS flow if the SMF network element receives second indication information in a first preset time; or the SMF network element deletes or modifies the QoS flow if the SMF network element does not receive second indication information in a first preset time, where the second indication information is used to indicate that the first QoS target can be met.

    Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example communication method includes receiving first indication information by a first network element from a second network element, where the first indication information is used to indicate that a current condition supports establishment of a session of a first network for a terminal apparatus. The first network element obtains first quality of service (QoS) control information of a first session of the terminal apparatus after receiving the first indication information, where the first session is a session established by the terminal apparatus by using a second network. The first network element sends the first QoS control information to the second network element.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application relate to a multipath data transmission processing method and a network device. A first network device receives a packet from a first host device, and determines a first connection identifier between the first network device and a second network device based on the packet. The first network device encapsulates the packet based on the first connection identifier. The first network device sends the encapsulated packet to the second network device through one of a plurality of subflows between the first network device and the second network device. According to the embodiments of this application, multipath data transmission is implemented, a data transmission rate is increased, and a host device does not perceive a plurality of paths. The embodiments of this application can be applied to any existing communications system.

    Abstract: This application provides a method and an apparatus for assigning an EBI. When an EBI needs to be assigned to an EPS bearer to which a QoS flow is mapped in an EPS, whether user plane security enforcement information of a PDU session matches user plane encryption protection information of the EPS is determined, that is, whether a user plane capability of the EPS can meet a user plane security requirement of the PDU session is determined. The EBI is assigned to the EPS bearer only when the requirement is met. Otherwise, the EBI is not assigned to the EPS bearer or the EBI is released if the EBI has been assigned. In this way, when UE moves from a 5GS to the EPS, the EPS bearer is prevented from using an EBI that does not meet the user plane security requirement for data transmission.
