Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to precisely determine an area of the evaporated organic EL material in an organic EL display device, where organic EL layers in individual pixels emit light of different wave lengths. The purpose is realized by a structure that: A display device comprising: pixel electrodes are formed in a matrix arrangement on a substrate and a space exists between the pixel electrodes, a bank, which covers an edge of the pixel electrode, having an opening that exposes a part of one of the pixel electrodes, a first projection formed on a top of the bank and along a side of the opening, a second projection formed in an area that is near to the center of the top of the bank than the first projection is, in a plan view.

Abstract: A display device includes a digitizer that outputs a signal according to an output value from a pressure sensor, a trigger generating circuit that receives the output from the pressure sensor and generates a trigger signal, a control circuit that drives the touch sensor and the pressure sensor, and a power supply circuit that supplies first electric power to the touch sensor, the pressure sensor, the digitizer, and the control circuit. When the power supply circuit does not supply the first electric power and there is input to the pressure sensor, the trigger generating circuit receives second electric power in response to the input. The trigger generating circuit generates and inputs the trigger signal based on the second electric power to the power supply circuit, and thereby, the power supply circuit shifts to a state of supplying the first electric power.

Abstract: The invention provides an image display device that has an especially satisfactory display quality for animated images, and sufficiently suppresses the irregularities of display quality among pixels. The image display device includes a light emitting drive means that drives a light emitting means, based on an analog display signal inputted to the pixels, and a light emitting control switch for controlling a light-on or light-off of the light emitting means on one end of the light emitting drive means in each pixel.

Abstract: The method for manufacturing a display device includes forming a light emitting element and a terminal on a substrate, forming a sealing film including a first inorganic insulating film and a second inorganic insulating film to cover the light emitting element and the terminal, forming a resist having a taper shape in which a thickness of an end portion on the sealing film becomes thinner as it goes to the terminal side by using a gray-tone mask, forming a taper shape in which thicknesses in end portions of the first inorganic insulating film and the second inorganic insulating film becomes thinner as it goes to the terminal side by etching, forming a touch electrode above the sealing film and forming wiring connected to the terminal via the end portions together with connecting to the touch electrode for detecting a touched position.

Abstract: A touch sensor is a capacitive touch sensor including a touch detection area that includes a plurality of drive electrodes and a plurality of detection electrodes, and includes a plurality of drive signal lines extending in the Y-axis direction and arranged in the X-axis direction, and a plurality of detection signal lines extending in the X-axis direction and arranged in the Y-axis direction. The touch detection area includes a fingerprint detection area F in which an interval between a plurality of drive signal lines and an interval between a plurality of detection signal lines are narrow, and the detection signal lines include fingerprint authentication signal lines disposed in a fingerprint authentication area and detection signal lines disposed to be electrically separated from the fingerprint authentication signal lines in an area, which is adjacent to the fingerprint authentication area in the X-axis direction, of the touch detection area.
