    摘要: A system and method for providing a message broadcast service using an open API is provided, which allows a third party information provider to easily broadcast messages to the general public in a specific service area using a Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) of a mobile communication system. A message broadcast application server provides a user interface for composing a broadcast message and defining a service area to a third party information provider. When a broadcast message transmission request is received from the third party information provider through the user interface, a broadcast message transmission request command, a broadcast message transmission request cancellation command, or a status query message is created according to the message broadcast service request, and is then processed by a Cell Broadcast Center (CBC) in the mobile communication system through an open API of a Parlay gateway.
