摘要： Methods and apparatus for a telephone customer to configure telephone service for multiple users at a single location associated with the customer. The location has at least two telephones, at least two phone numbers and a voice mail box. The telephone customer is visually provided an option to assign one of the phone numbers to one of the telephones. The telephone customer is visually provided an option to assign each of the multiple users exclusive access to at least one of the telephone numbers via their account identifier. The telephone customer is visually provided the option to, for each of the multiple users, allow access or deny access via their account identifier to the voicemail box.

In particular, methods of altering incoming call controls after a call has been placed to an emergency number comprises steps of performing a first modification of a first call control related to a first incoming calling number, and performing a second modification of the first call control related to the first incoming calling number after a predetermined period of time. Systems for altering incoming call controls after a call has been placed to an emergency number are also disclosed.

摘要： Call logs are generated based upon calls from a subscriber line and calls to a subscriber line. The call logs are formatted from Generic Data Interface (GDI) messages into an email format (e.g., SMTP) within a call log gateway. The formatted email is then emailed to an email recipient, which can include a messaging service provider or the subscriber himself. The email address to the recipient is determined by the call log gateway based upon the subscriber's identity.

摘要： A method includes receiving a query message at a controller communicatively coupled to a destination device. The query message includes inbound call data associated with a call to the destination device. The method includes determining that the call to the destination device is from a redirecting number based on the inbound call data. The redirecting number is compared to an authorized set of numbers. When the authorized set of numbers includes the redirecting number, the controller formulates a response message to the query message. The response message includes a distinctive tone for use at the destination device that is identified based on the redirecting number. The response message is sent as a reply to the query message.
