摘要: A working end of a surgical instrument that carries first and second jaws for delivering energy to tissue. In a preferred embodiment, at least one jaw of the working end defines a tissue-engagement plane that contacts the targeted tissue. The cross-section of the engagement plane reveals that it defines a surface conductive portion that overlies a variably resistive matrix of a temperature-sensitive resistive material or a pressure-sensitive resistive material. An interior of the jaw carries a conductive material or electrode that is coupled to an Rf source and controller. In an exemplary embodiment, the variably resistive matrix can comprise a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) material, such as a ceramic, that is engineered to exhibit a dramatically increasing resistance (i.e., several orders of magnitude) above a specific temperature of the material.

摘要: The invention provides liquid electrographic toner compositions comprising a liquid carrier having toner particles dispersed in the liquid carrier. The liquid carrier has a Kauri-Butanol number less than about 30 mL. The toner particles comprise polymeric binder comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions. The toner composition additionally comprises a dispersed wax component associated with the toner particle. These toner particles can exhibit excellent final image durability characteristics, and can also provide toner compositions that provide excellent images at low fusion temperatures on a final image receptor.

摘要: The invention provides liquid electrographic toner compositions comprising a liquid carrier having toner particles and at least one soluble polymer dispersed in the liquid carrier. The liquid carrier has a Kauri-Butanol number less than about 30 mL. The toner particles comprise polymeric binder comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions. The soluble polymer is present in an amount of from about 1% to about 10% by weight based on toner particle weight. The absolute difference in Hildebrand solubility parameters between the soluble polymer and the liquid carrier is less than about 3.0 MPa1/2. In one aspect of the invention, the soluble polymer that is incorporated in the toner composition has no more than about 30% weight ratio chemical constitution variance from the chemical constitution of the S material portion of the amphipathic copolymer. In another aspect of the invention, the soluble polymer that is incorporated in the toner composition has no acidic functionality having a pKa greater than 8, and has no basic functionality having a pKa of its conjugate acid that is greater than 8. Methods of making these compositions are also provided.

摘要: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for e-mail envelope journaling. A server determines that an entity's (e.g., a recipient revealed form an expanded distribution list) home mailbox store has envelope journaling enabled and specifies a journaling mailbox address. The server sets a journaling property in an e-mail message identifying that the e-mail message is to be journaled. The server adds the journaling mailbox address specified by the entity's home mailbox store to the journaling property. The server sends envelope journaling information through an envelope protocol extension to the journaling mailbox addresses specified in the journaling property. The server sends the e-mail message to one or more recipients specified in the e-mail message and journaling mailbox addresses specified in the journaling property. Journaling servers receiving envelope journaling information, place journaling information in archive messages, and attach portions e-mail messages to archive messages.
