    摘要: An exposure unit in an image recording apparatus for exposing a photosensitive image recording medium to light is disclosed. The exposure unit includes a light source, and other optical components for directing light to an original and for introducing light reflected at or transmitted through an original to an exposure zone. The light source and the optical components define in combination a light path which has a first light path and a second light path. The first light path extends between the light source and the original and the second light path extends between the original and the exposure zone. An infrared rays non-transmissive filter is disposed at the first light path. Therefore, light directed toward the original is subjected to filtering so that infrared ray components contained in the light is blocked and does not reach the original.

    摘要: In order to adjust light components, there is provided a filter unit which includes a light source for emitting a light, a filter housing to which an opening is formed; and three filters arranged in vertical direction within the filter housing and adapted to be drawn from the opening. Each of the three filters adjusts one of red, blue and green components contained in the light. A drive unit is further included in the filter housing which selectively draws the three filters from the opening to an optical path. Accordingly, the light components can be adequately adjusted by drawing the filters in the optical path. By the employment of such a filter unit in a color image recording apparatus, the color tone of the image reproduced in a copy sheet can be adjusted.

    摘要: In response to light reflected by a manuscript, a latent photo-image corresponding to the manuscript is formed on a photosensitive member comprising photocurable microcapsules containing therein dye precursor reactable to a color developing agent to develop a visible image. The photosensitive member is conveyed from a supply source, via a light exposure platform, to a developing section in an imaging device, while effectively protected from ambient light. When a transfer member is used to pass through the developing section, together with the photosensitive member, a separator lug is provided for separating the transfer member from the photosensitive member immediately after passing through the developing section. The exposure platform has a surface of an excellent light-absorptive material to prevent the recording sheet from being exposed again to light reflected from the platform surface.

    摘要: An optical reading head is an optical reader for photoelectric reading of images on a medium, comprising a plural light-emitting optical fibers for transmitting beams of light from light emitting elements to the surface of the medium, and plural light-receiving optical fibers for transmitting beams of reflected light from the medium surface to light-sensitive elements. The ends of the light-emitting and light-receiving optical fibers opposite to the medium surface are positioned in first and second rows, respectively, at a predetermined pitch. The ends of the light-receiving optical fibers are displaced relative to the ends of the light-emitting optical fibers along the first and second rows by a distance equal to a half of the predetermined pitch. Also disclosed is an optical reader comprising the above-described optical reading head, and a control device for controlling the operations of the light emitting elements, so that the resolution of the reading head is variable in two steps.
