摘要： A modular tool assembly including a tool base configured to releasably secure a modular tool arrangement in a fixed relationship relative to a mounting surface. The tool base includes an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion having a mounting seal extending therefrom. The mounting seal cooperates with the mounting surface to define a vacuum pocket therebetween. A vacuum generating mechanism is configured to remove air from the vacuum pocket through an aperture in the lower housing portion. A modular tool attachment releasably engages a portion of the tool base to secure the modular tool attachment to the tool base.

摘要： Tyrosylprotein sulfotransferases and nucleic acids encoding the tyrosylprotein sulfotransferases are described. Dual isotopes of the enzyme and of the nucleic acids encoding said enzymes have been identified in human, mouse and C. elegans. The polypeptides and polynucleotides exhibit a wide range of homologies. The polynucleotides can be used to transform or transfect host cells for producing substantially pure forms of the enzyme, or for use in an expression system for post-translational tyrosine sulfation of proteins or peptides produced within the expression system. The enzymes can be used to sulfate peptides or proteins requiring sulfation.

摘要： MPEG video compression is an efficient but complex video compression standard. Manipulation of MPEG video usually entails decoding, manipulating and recoding the video, but this is inefficient and causes degradation of the content. The present invention provides a range of transition effects to be generated without knowledge of the video material into which they are to be inserted. The synthesised transition pictures of the invention are inserted between two consecutive I- or P-pictures. Many effects are very efficiently constructed from a small number of explicitly coded macroblocks and a large number of skip blocks. Even for those effects where all of the macroblocks must be explicitly coded, this is done with very little information in each block. Accordingly, the invention allows fast and efficient processing and obviates the need to decode the MPEG to insert the transition and often requires no changes to the existing pictures.

摘要： A flexible circuit board assembly comprising a flexible circuit board having a first portion and a second portion separated by a bendable region and a substantially rigid substrate having a first portion and a second portion separated by a bend region. The rigid substrate has an inside surface and an outside surface. The first and second portions of the circuit board are affixed to the respective first and second portions of the substrate such that when the substrate is bent the bendable region of the circuit board must also bend. The bend region has a recess extending outwardly from the inside surface of the substrate, and the recess is sized to accept the bendable region of the circuit board around a single bend axis when the substrate is bent. The recess provides for a larger bend radius of the circuit board reducing stress.
