摘要: A connector (1) with rear holders, which connector comprises a housing (2) having a plurality of terminal housing chambers (3), and the rear holders (20a) and (20b) which are laid across the housing (2) and temporarily and regularly retained in the housing. One of the rear holders (20a) and (20b) includes a retaining hole (22) and a retaining pawl (23). On each side of the housing exist a temporarily retaining projection (4) having a tapered surface (5) over the whole of its surface, and a tapered retaining step (6). A stooping contact face (7) is also provided on the surface of the rear end portion of the housing (2). Therefore, as the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are pivoted when the retaining holes (22) are mated with the respective temporarily retaining projections (4), the retaining pawls (23) are mated with the retaining steps (6) and the undersurfaces of the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are brought into contact with the respective contact faces (7), whereby the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are temporarily retained in the housing (2).

摘要: The connector includes a rear holder inserted into an opening 10 of a connector housing for locking terminals. The holder has a locking portion engaging with a rear end edge of the opening. The locking portion is formed with an inclined stopping surface. The stopping surface is facing in a disengaging direction of the holder and is capable of making a sliding contact with the rear end edge of the opening. The locking portion is a locking projection or may be an inclined stopping surface formed in a rear end portion of the holder. The holder has a base plate, a terminal locking projection, and a pair of side plates. The side plate is formed with a preliminary engagement portion associated with a preliminary locking portion of the connector housing. On final locking of the holder, the fore end face of the rear wall positioned behind the opening of the connector housing abuts against the rear end surface of the base plate of the holder.

摘要: A structure for preventing looseness of an electrical connector comprises a first connector housing, a second connector housing having a hood for accommodating the first connector housing, a locking projecting portion mounted on a locking arm which is formed at the first connector housing, and a locking hole formed at the hood so as to be engaged with the locking projecting portion. The first connector housing and the second connector housing are coupled with each other wherein the locking projection has taper portions so as to become progressively smaller in projecting direction of a main body like a square pole at both side walls locating in the coupling direction. A spacing between both lower edges of said taper portions is set to be approximately equal to a spacing between both inner wall surfaces locating in an orthogonal direction to coupling direction at the locking hole.

摘要: There is disclosed an LIF connector in which a reverse insertion of a slider can be detected rapidly and easily although the connector has a simple construction. The LIF connector includes an LIF (low insertion force) mechanism in which a slider is slidable over a first connector through guides, and by sliding the slider, a second connector can be inserted into and withdrawn from the first connector. A pair of retractable projections are provided respectively on opposed side walls of the slider, and each of the projections has an inclined surface and a substantially vertical abutment surface. When the slider is inserted with directions of its front and rear ends kept proper, the inclined surface is brought into sliding contact with the associated guide to thereby retract the projection. When the slider is inserted with the directions of its front and rear ends reversed, the abutment surface abuts against the associated guide to thereby prevent the insertion of the slider.

摘要: In a waterproof connector housing, an elastic seal ring is integrally formed on an inner side of a hood formed at a front end of a housing body through a first stepped portion, and is retained in position by retaining piece portions. A second stepped portion is formed in the hood at a proximal end, and through holes are formed in the hood. The through holes have a transverse hole extending to a point, disposed generally centrally of a thickness of a peripheral wall of the hood, in parallel relation to a distal end surface of the step portion, and a longitudinal hole extending from the transverse hole in a direction of fitting of the housing to further extend through the first stepped portion to be open to the exterior. The retaining piece portion has a transverse portion and a longitudinal portion which are filled in the through hole. The transverse portion is projected at a distal end portion of the elastic seal ring.

摘要: An object of the present invention resides in providing a connector which assures that clearance between an engagement projection of a flexible engagement piece projecting from the inner wall of each terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing and an engagement hole of a terminal is minimized, and moreover, each terminal is properly inserted into the corresponding terminal accommodating chamber with a higher intensity of engaging force. According to the present invention, a connector includes a plurality of terminals each of which one end serves as an electrical contact portion having an engagement hole formed on a base plate and of which other end serves as a cable connecting portion. In addition, the connector includes a connector housing having a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers formed therein. A flexible engagement piece having an engagement projection formed at the foremost end thereof is projected from each terminal accommodating chamber, and the engagement projection serves as engaging means for allowing the engagement hole of the terminal to be engaged with the engagement projection. An upper surface is formed on the engagement projection while slantwise downwardly extending toward the cable connecting portion of the terminal. In addition, tapered portions are formed along ridge lines where the upper surface intersects both side surfaces.
